Dear friend, how often have you heard the saying, the good things in life are free, yet we neglect this simple but profound message. Daily we are bombarded by various advertisements beseeching us to use this and use that to enhance our well-being. (excerpted from my eBook 8 Simple Ways to Live a Healthy Abundant Lifestyle)

With our focus on the externals, we neglect the most fundamental voice that there is, our body, which speaks to us constantly if only we would but listen. Unfortunately, sometimes it requires severe pain or an illness for us to take heed.

In these times of rapid change, you need to take time for yourself. Whether, you are in a 9 to 5 job or a stay at home mom, you need to find some time to nurture you. When you give away all of your energy to others and nothing is coming back, you become exhausted and burned out.

Unfortunately, many people don’t manage their energy very well, so it is important that you give back to yourself. Do not let a day go by without taking some time for yourself – some time you spend in pure pleasure as you see it. This is part of being yourself. Do something that nurtures you.

This doesn’t have to be something that involves money. It might be a walk in the countryside or just lying on the grass and watching the clouds roll by. These forms of relaxation are very nurturing.

One of my philosophies in life is to give myself the best opportunity to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Am I still going to die? Yes! However, it makes a lot of sense to me that while I can, I must give myself the best opportunity to optimize my health which could lead me to saving money in the long run.

Over the years many people asked me how I managed to remain looking so youthful and maintain a slender body. I therefore decided to share my secrets with you since I do believe you can also benefit from what I have learnt and implemented as a health program. You can use this program in your own life to help you to maintain a healthy body, mind and spirit. It includes such topics as deep breathing and its benefits, the importance of a good night’s sleep, diet , exercise , such as, walking , hiking, dancing and the benefits to be derived from these.

No matter your age or your physical condition, (if you are reading these words you are exercising your eyes) you can improve your health and well-being and live a more abundant life.

Until next time, make this a week one in which you are living your life to the fullest.
With appreciation and gratitude
