Did you know that food is sexy? The color, scent, texture and shape of the specific food can make it sexy. In addition, some foods contain substances that can not only affect our moods but also stimulate our brains. So if you’re looking for an extra enjoyable evening with you and your partner, consider adding some of these foods to the menu.

- Oysters: Not only do oysters make an excellent appetizer they are also a good source of minerals like selenium and zinc, and are also high in protein. Zinc helps to raise sperm and testosterone production. When adding oysters to your menu remember to place them on a bed of ice and have some fresh lemon wedges on the side to increase the pleasure of the food. However, when purchasing Oysters make sure you are purchasing from a reputable source since some can contain high sources of PCB and pollutants. In addition, if you’re pregnant, you should avoid eating oysters.

- Almonds: An excellent source of fatty acids. These compounds are the raw materials that help with the production of hormones in males, while the aroma of the almond is said to arouse passion in females. To set the mood with almonds, light a few almond scented candles around the room and snack on a few almonds as an appetizer.

- Chocolate: This food has been a symbol of love and lust for centuries due to theobromine, a stimulant to the brain that creates a pleasurable effect. This compound is very similar to arousal benefits of caffeine. Chocolate also contains a chemical believed to produce the feeling of “being in love” called phenylethylamine. Enjoy a combination of both milk and dark chocolates for fondue, chocolate bars or chocolate syrup. Not only will this provide different taste profiles but dark chocolate contains high amounts of antioxidants which are great for the body so you’ll be eating healthy while getting ready for that special moment.

- Sensual Fruit: Kiwi’s, mangos, peaches and strawberries. These fruits are both colorful and have an alluring and interesting aspect about them that can help flip the switch. Fruits are loaded with antioxidants and also help the body to fight off disease. Combining peaches, strawberries with chocolate can be extra satisfying experience.

– Eggs: While you may not think of an egg as being the most sensual of foods, they are an excellent source of vitamin B5 and B6. These vitamins are vital to a healthy libido. In addition, the egg is a symbol of rebirth and fertility. Enjoy a hardboiled or a small portion of scrambled eggs with some strawberries to increase energy levels.

- Figs: Figs are naturally high in amino acids and are believed to increase the libido and improve sexual stamina. A glass of fig juice is a tasty way to get started.

- Celery: The green vegetable is an excellent food for sexual stimulation. The reason is celery contains an odorless hormone called androsterone. This hormone is released through the male’s perspiration and is believed to help increase sexual awareness of women.
