Mr. Peltz has worked in the mental health field since 1973 as both a counselor and an administrator. He works with adults, and offers individual, couples and family treatment; has supervised clinical staff and intern students since 1980; and he leads group therapy and lectures in the community. He has a strong understanding of the 12 Step sobriety program, and offers referrals to the needed level of care in treatment.
In addition to being licensed as a mental health therapist and as a level one alcohol and drug counselor in the state of Massachusetts, he is certified as an addiction specialist at a national level. Further, he has earned his Clinical Pastoral Education Unit One, participated in Education for the Ministry, and has attended the Spiritual Direction certificate training at The Mercy Center in California.
Mr. Peltz has published multiple professional articles, and has been involved with a number of the US Dept. of Health and Human Services, SAMSHSA 'TIPS' publications. He has volunteered as a Behavioral Health Disaster Responder for several disaster response organizations since before Katrina/Rita. He believes service work in the community to be important, and over the years, has served on many committees and boards.
