I was born in the tranquil countryside of southern New York State. All through my life, I have felt most at home among those gently rolling hills covered with verdant forests. More than anywhere else, it was there that I have always felt a strong spiritual connection to the land.
Today, decades later, I have chosen to make my home among those same rolling New York hills. Having spent many years in and around diverse urban areas across North America - New York City, Montreal, Toronto, and Mexico City - I grew acutely sensitive to the relationship between landform features, natural and manmade, and the ways that human life develops therein.
I observed that individuals are impacted differently by the energies given off in a specific place - there was clearly much more to what goes on around us then meets the eye. I visited the Mexico City area 27 times to study the amazing relationship between earth energy vortexes, spiritual occurrences and psychic phenomena. Having traveled, worked and studied in Europe and Asia, I became even more sensitive to my connection with the land of North America. Native American culture has an understanding of this connection, and a recognition of the life that is in everything around us.
A desire for a further understanding led me to begin my informal study of Feng Shui in the early 1980s. The ancient principles of this practice provided me with a structure with which I could explain my observations, and which helped me to begin to channel the environmental energies for my own benefit and that of others.
I have enjoyed a career in education, teaching at the secondary school level, as well as two decades as a successful computer professional in the corporate world, in both the United States and Canada. During those years, I pursued my spiritual and metaphysical development, of which Feng Shui was an intrinsic part. I am extremely grateful to the many teachers and mentors that have helped me along my spiritual path.
Two women who have particularly influenced and guided me are Louise Hay and Lillian Too. Metaphysical teacher and author Louise L. Hay, who I first met in 1986, taught me that there are no limits in life other than those which we create for ourselves.
Louise Hay's writings and workshops have given me the impetus to continue my search for the spiritual connection that underlies everything in this universe. I am certified by Louise Hay to lead workshops, based on her wonderful and innovative work, which have brought greater self-acceptance and self-esteem to many people. My second great influence has been Ms. Lillian Too, the world's most popular writer on the subject of Feng Shui. My work with Lillian Too, both in Malaysia and in the United States, has helped me make substantial strides in my understanding of the complexities and fine points of Feng Shui. Ms. Too's generosity of spirit was brought home to me, as she shared many powerful formulae not published in any book. I appreciate the confidence that she has shown in my professional skills and talent by granting me the prestigious Lillian Too Institute of Feng Shui Master Practitioner Certification.
I also must express my extreme gratitude to Master Raymond Lo of Hong Kong. Master Lo stands alone as one of the leading Feng Shui experts living in the world today. It has been both an honor and a privilege to study with this extraordinary gentleman. As a student of Master Lo, I made major breakthroughs in my understanding of the "mysterious subtleties" of traditional Feng Shui. I am a graduate of Master Raymond Lo's School of Feng Shui and Destiny, and I hold the School's Feng Shui Practitioner Diploma.
Some of the many other great teachers with whom I have had the honor to study or whose seminars I have attended include Malaysian Feng Shui authority Grand Master Yap Chang Hai, His Holiness Grand Master Prof. Yin Lun (leader of the Black Tantric Buddhist Sect), renowned spiritual teachers Patricia Crane and Rick Nichols, authors and teachers Dr. Wayne W. Dyer and Alan Cohen, and Denise Linn, renowned authority on energetic space clearing and Native American tradition.
Additionally, I have studied Xuan Kong Feng Shui through the Yap Chang Hai Feng Shui Center of Excellence, and I have achieved Professional Certification by the Feng Shui Institute of Canada. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree (History & Secondary Education) from the City University of New York, and a Master of Science degree (Computer Science) from the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, Long Island.
