April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

Why would you care, when I don’t? Why would you go that extra mile, when I wouldn’t? Why would you waste your time on me, when I wouldn’t for you? Why do you try to get inside me, when I wouldn’t? What you are trying so hard to see, I’m trying so hard to cover! Why don’t you just let me be?

You ask me a question and you know I’m smart. I see that look on your face, you know there’s hope. Are you going to spend every second of your day teaching me and keeping me safe? You don’t understand life changes by the stroke of the hand.

It’s time to go, I will remember your face, and I know you cared. I have to put on my tough face now and distance myself from you now, cause I got to go. Please don’t waste your time on me, start younger, I’m too far gone.

It takes one negative thing, action or word, to destroy a child’s self image. It takes a repetition of these things to ruin their life. So how do we fix it? How do we make a child whole? It’s only through love, understanding, and patience and you have to give them the time needed so that they can learn to trust. Life is full of possibilities, they just don’t see them, and they need to be shown that they exist.

Author's Bio:

I have a website that is designed to help others. I do believe that we are here on this earth to learn from each other. I don't think that we give each other enough credit. I know our world can be harsh and cold and some people might not necessarily have family or friends to count on. I write all my articles and blogs. All are meant to offer hope and encouragement for others.

I wrote two books "Walk in Peace" and "My Soulful Journey" which can be purchased at https://www.winepressbooks.com/search.asp?select=Keywords&search=Tami+Pr... Again, these books are tools to help you through whatever it is that you might be going through. It is to offer you hope and encouragement.

I also have a Blog Talk Radio show. I mainly interview authors, but I have interviewed many subject matters. Please feel free to listen to the archives at http://www.BlogTalkRadio.com/womensrecreation .
