Wow – I can believe I found myself writing a blog on this topic.

Rather than listing the points why one should have a blog I should rather focus on why one wouldn’t have a blog – It will make this a lot shorter post to write, yet not that much fun, and well, quite realistically, if you don’t know why you should have a blog then the chances of you actually reading this post is extremely slim.

It’s fun

One of the main reasons why a person today should have a blog is because it’s fun – and I don’t know of a single way to lift ones opinions or offer knowledge on a subject and have your views still be standing after months – even years, without having to repeat yourself in conversation (except by mentioning the URL to the post). And as I said – it’s fun, normally when someone is forced to do something that they initially don’t want to then they struggle to find motivation and passion , so one should always try to make it as fun as possible, let a Fucking (oops) swearword go every now and then, laugh a little, not only at others but at yourself as well. Be who you are without a single ounce of shame, don’t hide your personality online, it is what makes you unique.

It’s useful

By writing your blog and reading others, you will dramatically improve on your grammar and writing style (depending on the knowledge offered by the blog you’re reading) and is very useful in the professional world. –Just the other day I found myself having to write a paragraph on pen and paper, and even I will admit how use and customary I’ve become to spell check in the past few years. And you might not think about it now , but maybe a couple of months down the line you find yourself applying for a job at another company, and what better way to show who you are and why anybody should hire you than a blog with a About section in the footer or page. Not only that, having a blog between a group of candidates that don’t have might just be what sets you apart and what your new employer was looking for in a candidate.

It’s the Centre to your online Profile

Having a blog can be whatever you want it to be, It can mean whatever you want it to mean. At the end of the day it’s the best way to link your Social Media Accounts with each other, Your Facebook page (where your personal), Your twitter page (Daily announcements and activities), your Linked. In page (where you communicate and promote yourself professionally) even your Google+ page (which we all know is all about you), in this way you create authority for yourself in the online community and if someone is looking for you or needs to find information about you the best place will be your blog, For friends, Family , Potential Employees, even a long lost love – Having a blog just might mean you do get found , not just a certain part of you online (just your Facebook page only – which normally doesn’t look professional if viewed by a potential employee), but the whole you.
