UGC NET announces the result within a month after the completion of the exam cycle. The result is declared in the format of a scorecard containing certain relevant information related to the candidate in addition to the candidate’s personal details. I have written them in detail, in the section below.
That said, note that as per UGC, ‘the number of candidates to be qualified (total slots or Eligibility for Assistant Professor) shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both the papers of NET’.
These total slots are segregated as per the reservation policy of GoI into different categories.
With this, let’s now move to the process of the current year. Though, the 2022 cycle of UGC NET is yet to begin, a big update regarding the UGC NET exam 2022 and its dates is already available.
According to the UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, the UGC NET 2022 will be known as the Dec 2021 & June 2022 merged cycle, and the exam will likely take place during the first/second week of June 2022. Although, this information is a genuine one, but it still requires the stamp of the official notification. And upon the arrival of the UGC NET Official Notification, the final exam dates will be announced.
