Visualization is an extremely powerful tool that doubles the drive to achieve your goal, no matter how unattainable it might seem at the starting point. When you visualize success, you feel charged and motivated and increase your efforts. For someone on a weight loss journey, visualizing themselves in their goal weight could prevent them from cheating on their diet or motivate them to work out twice as hard.

While the motivational power of creative visualization seems a good enough reason to adopt the process as a practice, the benefits do not just stop there. Creative visualization when practiced correctly can help you to achieve anything in life, absolutely anything!

So how does that work?

When you are visualizing an event or a goal, you are putting your brain on alert and it starts to focus on everything that is in a way connected with your goal. Ever wondered why your worst fears come true? Why is that something that you absolutely do not want materializes, a problem that you hoped would never arise raises its ugly head?

Visualization does not see the negative or positive in the thoughts. When you are constantly thinking of something- whether it is negative or positive- your thought is bound to come true.

Science states that the basis of our existence is energy and vibration. At this point of time, each one of us is in constant vibration and our senses are nothing but a combination of our vibration with the vibration of people and things around us. Basically, whatever energy you give off, it comes back to you.

Have you noticed that kind people are surrounded by people with the same mentality and negative people huddle together? High school cliques- remember how the jocks and nerds stayed in their own groups? Why would someone be in the company of a person who are not their wavelength?

Visualization too, is based on the principle of sending the correct signal to the universe so that you can receive it back in the form of things. Your thoughts become things; it’s really as simple as that.

First off, there is no magic involved and creative visualization isn’t some type of preternatural technique. If you were to ask any successful person today the reason behind their success they are likely to talk about their ambitious nature or resilience, but actually what works for them is the thoughts of success in their minds. All successful people are focused on achieving their goal. While on the other hand unsuccessful people would attribute their lack of success on thousands of excuses; their minds are constantly abuzz with ‘reasons’ why they CAN’T do it.

Consciously or unconsciously people become who they think they are. Successful people look for new ways to overcome a hurdle, unsuccessful people look for new excuses.

However, one major factor to keep in mind is that not every thought materializes. Visualization works with strong emotional involvement and lack of doubts. You will have to vest complete belief in the positive outcome and heighten your senses while visualizing.

Here are steps to correctly practice creative visualization. Keep in mind that in our current state our mind is charged with thousands of random thoughts and to correctly visualize you would need a calm and placid mind, you will take some time to get into the habit of proper creative visualization but once you get the hang of it you can implement this in every aspect of your life, every single day.

Know what is it that you want- What are your goals that you want to concentrate on. Whether it is attaining professional excellence or getting that perfect body- write it down so that you can see it.

Believe it will come true- Don’t let negative thoughts taint the images of your success. Believe with all your heart that whatever your goal is-no matter how difficult- it will come true. Repeat like an affirmation yourself till you start feeling the negative creep away and be replaced with a strong belief.

Meditate-The best technique to empty the mind of irrelevant thoughts so that you can perfectly visualize the end result is meditation . Meditation works in two ways, it clears the mind and create a calm tranquil base for your visualization to seep deeper into the subconscious level.

Don’t just imagine; feel it- When you are visualizing your goals, try to feel it completely. Imagine that you have already achieved whatever it is that you want, how would you feel then, what would be your expression, what would you say, what would you do? Just feel everything to create a stronger visualization impact.

Repeat- Visualize every day, a lot of life coaches advice practicing creative visualization twice a day. But you can start with once a day and then increase.
