I see it all the time, people selling themselves short. Be it on a professional level or a personal level, it happens all the time. It is the wrong job, wrong career, wrong boyfriend/girlfriend, etc. Here are some things to help you.

Don’t give away your power to someone else. Keep it. In other words, never allow someone else to dehumanize you or violate your self-worth.

You have everything that everyone else has; you just haven’t realized it yet. We are all the same. If you are not lazy, and you work hard, you can obtain what everyone else has, no excuses.

When dating , they sometimes seem desperate. When interviewing for a job, sometimes people seem desperate. Why must you feel so desperate? When you are looking for a mate, the last thing in the world you want to appear is desperate! It means that you are settling for less than what you actually deserve. The same holds true for a job. You should look by what your skills, talents, and desire is to do.

Hold your head up high, no slouching, keep your eyes focused ahead of you, not on the floor. Your posture shows others how you feel about yourself. If you don’t carry yourself in a positive manner, why would others put their faith in you?

This is one of the most important things, keep your word. People don’t know you and your word is all they have. If you say you are going to be there at 8, be there a little before 8. Your word is gold, if you don’t keep it, why would anyone listen to you?

You see everything makes up who you are; your appearance, your posture, your gestures, your knowledge and conversation and your promises. All of these are your keys to success. Don’t sell yourself short, first learn in what area you are lacking and then focus on improving that area.

There are some people who will take advantage of a person who hasn't realized their full potential. It is my hopes that you see yourself for who you truly are. You deserve the best, the best in everything. You are beautiful, you are smart. You not only have to know this, feel this, but show it as well.

Your voice sums it up. When you speak be clear, concise, and look the person in eyes when you talk. Know what you are talking about, or remain silent. Have a firm hand shake and smile. Don’t be afraid to smile. Most importantly, be happy. Remember, you have what it takes. You are the same as everyone else, you deserve the best, now go make it happen.
