Body mass index (BMI) is a measurement designed to determine if a person is healthy or not, but a UCLA-led study has found that relying on BMI is inaccurate. Some employers use BMI to determine how much an employee will cost them medical-wise, and some insurers will begin to charge individuals more if they have a higher BMI.
