Your subconscious mind, sometimes called the unconscious brain or the body-mind, holds and is continuously recording your existence. It’s in a state of “record on” day and night, recording every bit of information in your environment and every thought and emotion.

Your conscious mind can process only a tiny fraction of the information that the subconscious mind processes per second. The subconscious mind knows which stresses have taken your body to an energetically imbalanced state, as well as what your body needs to return to a state of balance and harmony.

The conscious mind is not usually aware of all the underlying stressors causing the body to be out of balance or unhealthy. We think we need to eat more broccoli, take vitamins, drink green smoothies, or avoid carbohydrates because that is what we hear in the media.

However, each person is unique and has specific nutritional needs that can vary with the seasons, the amount of stress they are experiencing, and, for a woman, the phase of her menstrual cycle. Your subconscious mind knows all this information and can communicate it to you easily!

Access the Subconscious Mind’s Messages

You can access the information in your subconscious mind by using muscle-testing, which a form of biofeedback . It is also called manual muscle testing (MMT), and kinesiology by some.

Biofeedback is information received from the body in response to a question or internal stimulus like a thought. It is usually performed using a device connected to the body by wires.

A lie detector test works in the same way. Through muscle-testing the human body gives a yes or no answer in reaction to a question or even a thought. This is a way to receive answers held deeply in the subconscious mind, and it will not lie; it always tells the truth.

Muscle-testing is much like traditional biofeedback , only it’s wireless. Haven’t we all gone wireless these days? You can use it anywhere and anytime.

As tools, our hands are the most sensitive, fine-tuned instruments available…this instrument we call the hand is hooked up to the most marvelous computer ever created. It is the examiner’s very own personal computer.– Florence P. Kendall

This most marvelous computer that Florence P. Kendall speaks of is, of course, your subconscious mind, and it’s a gift that is always available to help you and give you the information you seek.

There are several different techniques you can use to muscle-test. I use different methods in different situations. I suggest that you try out the different methods described below to determine your favorite, or the one that is easiest for you to use at first. Once you get comfortable with that method you can practice the others to explore their feasibility for you.

Eight Tips for Muscle-Testing Success

You can do this!

1. Find one method that feels and works best for you, practice it until you feel comfortable with it, then try the others.
2. Before beginning, relax and take a few deep breaths, clearing any anticipation of a particular outcome.
3. Ask simple yes or no questions.
4. Use the minimum of pressure. This is a gentle technique.
5. Establish a baseline by asking an easy question.
6. Intend that you will receive a strong yes or a weak no.
7. Get permission before testing others. A parent or guardian can give permission for a child under eighteen years of age.
8. Be patient and practice to progress! You are training your mind and muscles to respond just as an athlete in a training program does.

This is only the tip of the iceberg of what is possible with muscle testing. For video demos of these testing methods, visit TheFoodCodes.com.

When you regularly muscle test your foods, you will set yourself up to feel better, perform better and overall, have a richer outlook on life.
