Fear can affect anyone irrespective of age, or how strong and tough a person is. Nevertheless, children are more disposed to develop fears because their extent of comprehension about the world, and things in general is quite limited. The same can also be said about their deduction ability in terms of recognizing what is rational or irrational. That is why childhood fears are frequently referred to as irrational fears because they are generally creations of the mind and not from an outside source.

What is important for you to understand is that developing fear is absolutely natural. Some fears can come about at a young age or later in life, but they are always caused by encounters or events in your life. These are what are described as rational fears. Like I said before, unlike rational fears, irrational fears are often known as childhood fears because they are mostly not caused by the material world and are frequently unreal.

Seeing that irrational fears are generally created by your mind, then conquering them could require more work.
