Let’s take a look now. Let’s take a long, close look at the things that bother us.

If we are honest with ourselves, we see we have scores of things which bother us every day. We have to ask ourselves, how does that help us? How does it help us to be bothered by every little thing or even by, what we might label, big things? The mind will sputter a split second before it starts to reel off a list of why it’s smart to be bothered. Here is one right off the bat. If I’m not bothered by that, how will it ever change?

That’s an easy one. Things change by action. Things do not change by being bothered by them. That mind of ours is, oh, so tricky, isn’t it? It tells us if something in our environment is not acceptable to us, if we don’t think it’s right, if we want to change it, if we want to stop it, if we dislike it, our mind tells us being against it, being negative about it, will do something for us. Our mind tells us whatever bugs us will change if we get bugged about it.

Something negative is going on and our mind tells us it helps us to go negative on the negative thing. To the mind, it all adds up. A negative situation, a negative response or attitude about the situation equals more negative, that’s how our mind adds it up. It adds up N+N=N. We have to see this equation so we can turn the situation around.

We spend our life being bothered by things and people. We don’t like them. If we are holding on to not liking, we are holding on to N+N=N, we are holding on to negativity.

When there is something we don’t like and it takes us into a negative feeling, for example anger, we’re adding more negative to the negative thing we don’t like. A negative situation plus a negative response, equals more negative. In other words, the negative thing we claim to dislike so much has done its job. It has made us negative. Let’s say a certain person angers us because they’re so negative. They have done their job. The negative person has gotten us negative. At least that’s the victim’s way of seeing it. What has actually happened is we have decided to become negative based on the prompting of some negative stimulus. We have seen a negative thing. We have decided to go negative. The negative thing has won. It has one more negative unit on its side.

It is time for us to see what is going on.

We must learn to be positive. In the Release Technique, we learn that negative does not help us. We see that positive is transforming. So, someone does or says an outrageous thing, a negative thing. If we go negative we have joined in the negativity.

If we go negative on something we see as negative, the negative wins, we have inadvertently joined up, signed on, and gotten on the negative bandwagon. Negative has won us over to its side. If we are asleep to what is happening, we are very self righteous, thinking we oppose negative when what we have done is moved over and joined up.

Moving in the direction of positive, being positive, is living in the energy of success, abundance , happiness and all the goodness there is in the universe. If we decide we are going to be positive in spite of what is happening, in spite of the news, in spite of what so and so is saying or doing, in spite of all evidence that we should go negative, if we decide we are going to be positive in spite of all that, then positive, success, abundance , happiness wins. We get positive and our world begins to change in the direction of positive. Positive things start happening for us.

Let’s make a decision. Let’s begin to see the bothers all the time. Let’s catch our reaction and be positive in spite of what is happening.

Ridding ourselves of negativity and becoming positive is what we learn to do in the Release Technique Abundance course. The Release Technique is about removing our blocks to abundance , happiness , health, loving relationships and success in every area of our life. We do it by ridding ourselves of negativity and deciding to be positive, in spite of what’s happening.
