Who is Charles Wooten

Charles Wooten goes by his middle name Randy, and so is better known as Randy Wooten. Charles Randy Wooten is a businessman who is best known for his philanthropic volunteer work with the less fortunate. Being a talented musician, he has composed and played a number of songs as part of his work. He has also actively participated in the creation of various films and documentaries related to his work with the homeless and other less than fortunate individuals.

Early Life and Motivation
As a young child, Charles was taught to view others as equals to himself. From an early age, his parents instilled in him the importance of helping others, reaching out to those in need and doing what he could to help make the world a better place. As a young person he embraced these values fully and they have motivated him to help his fellow man in various ways. The experience of losing his home in a hurricane helped him to realize even more how important it is to have a roof over one's head and since this experience he has dedicated a great deal of his time and assistance to those who do not have their own home.

Music has played a big role in Charles Wooten 's life. As he states himself, music is more than just something nice to listen to. It is a powerful force that can change hearts and lives. Charles uses his musical talents to organize benefit concerts for the homeless. These concerts help to raise money for causes that are near to his heart, the main one being Bread and Roses Café, a part of the St. Joseph Center in Venice, CA. Charles has also committed himself to releasing an album of some of his best known songs in the near future. Some of the many songs that he has written and sung include "Julie Drinks with Demons", "Cruel Old World", "Old Friends" and "Good to Me".

DocumentariesDespite his busy schedule, Charles finds time to help create documentaries that highlights the plight of those in need. Some of these documentaries include The Mars Underground and Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired. The latter film was nominated for the 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards.
