According to an Ancient Legend:by: April Lugo, PhD

Mankind has spent many years seeking for answers and looking for direction. It appears that often we will look hither and fro and forget that the actual truths lie in a chamber very special and designed for our own wisdom ...

There was a time when ordinary people had access to all the knowledge of the gods. Yet time and again, they ignored this wisdom . One day, the gods grew tired of so freely giving a gift the people didn’t use, so they decided to hide this precious wisdom where only the most committed of seekers would discover it. They believed that if people hat to work to find this wisdom, they would use it more carefully.

One of the gods suggested that they bury it deep in the earth.

No, the others said too many people could easily dig down and find it.

“Let’s put it in the deepest ocean.” suggested one of the gods, but that idea was also rejected. They knew that people would one day learn to dive and thus would find it too easily.

One of the gods suggested hiding it on the highest mountaintop, but it was quickly agreed that people could climb mountains.

Finaly, one of the wisest gods suggested, “Let’s hide it deep within the people themselves. They’ll never think to look in there.” And so it came to be and so it continues today…

There are those times in life when we need to trust and honor ourselves. KNow that the truth and the reality of our situations and wisdom is held within outselves. Listening to the age old wisdom of the gods we can then gain a great understanding of our walk of our path. As we are developing our own personal growth and developing to become the individuals that we have been born to be we can find that truth within.

We can help and aid others when we all learn to honor ourselves and one another.

In order to accomplish this we first need to realize that we can and must trust ourselves. Ego can come in and disrupt our processes when we say look what I can do, look where I have been, and we forget to express and honor the truth that is within our inner direction.

When the direction or inner guidance is heard it is often that still small voice which will express to you in a humble manner that this is how, where, what, why and when. That stillness can be heard in the stillness and in the quiet of our own existance. Learn to hear through the quiet of the mind through meditation , and inner contemplation.

A good test to see if this is your mind making up or the truth of your inner wisdom is to ask the question, if I were to want to the wisdom of the divine source would this be something I would imagine up or did this come from the divine within myself?
