About: Astro Tarot Affirmations are positive statements using the Tarot and astrology, to center ourselves while energizing our Mojo! My goal is to help invigorate higher vibrations with creative visualizations by using the images with the tarot, positive affirmations, with some astrological tidbits for self-awareness, while enhancing one's perspective, confidence, and productivity . Becoming part of the imagery is a necessity as it allows all senses to be encountered. Proclaiming and vocalizing your personal statement out-loud 'seals your agreement' with the Universe. Disciplined practitioners sense a significant change within seventy-two hours of repeating the oath. Inexperienced users must understand that it can take a little longer until you find your own rhythm to encounter the magic of will and assertion.

Meditation: Sit for a few minutes alone, with eyes closed and a goal to relax. Relax and distance yourself from your day with slow relaxing breaths. Mentally scape from our normal duties at this time. Calm all thoughts and emotions until you are aware of the quietness that surrounds you. With slow and deep breaths, feel yourself float into this calm energy, feeling your body and mind also adjusting to this quietness. All the noise disappears and you feel at peace . Pay attention to the soundless spirit, as you cleanse and exist with silence.

Visualization: Today's card image can assist you in this meditative affirmation , to help you make a powerful shift in your life with a little mental observation. So whether you are ready to make some small changes in a relationship, a move in your work, or dealing with incompatible individuals - this practice may prove to be beneficial.

A perspective depends solely on an interpretation, and without an open-mind to The Devil, you will only limit yourself from evolving. Artwork is my favorite example when it comes to defining fact, from perspective and judgment,. One person passes by a museum masterpiece and says 'ugh, what garbage. They call that mess artwork'? Another person stops to digest the information derived from the artist, and experiences something inspirational and meaningful. A perspective is an opinion.. it is not real, nor fact. I always suggest to stay open-minded and respect another's opinion.

For this little practice, get yourself a piece of aluminum foil, about 10"x10" in size, and a dry wash cloth.
Gently crinkle the foil VERY LIGHTLY, not deep heavy folds.
When you are finished, open up the foil as best as you can without removing the creases.
Stand the foil the best that you can in front of you, using it as a mirror.
Look at yourself in it. The warped image is you, as seen from many perspectives.
Is this the real you? Is one image correct, and the other isn't? What are we not seeing?

The Devil is our perspective, which holds us back from moving forward in life. It creates obstacles in our relationships with others, financial and health issues, as it stunts our individual growth. We are tempted to cut corners and take the easy way out to achieve success, rather than work hard for it. Some may bully another to do their work for them, some cheat a friend, some make excuses with their health, some 'borrow' but never return, some manipulate family members, some procrastinate on their obligations, some steal from the good and reliable, but many simply lie to others, but also lie to themselves ~ with the illusions that they are gaining something 'for free'. It is easy to blame the Devil for our reasons to slack, rather than acknowledge our own ignorance. Blaming and using personal excuses is a convenient way to not deal with the actual truth. The Devil represents our individual weaknesses that sit comfortably in his control. We blame and place judgement, rather than taking charge of our own commitments. When we pass our responsibilities to the Devil (our imperfections) we give all of our power away to an unreliable source. The Devil grows and takes control of our life and our minds, increasing a need for: lust, porn, depression, drugs, money desires, greed, alcoholism, jealousy, guilt, hoarding, gorging, smoking, illness, ignorance, self-entitlement, beauty , sex, laziness, anger, revenge, murder, and so on. What is YOUR Devil? Denying your Devil is also an excuse. If you are human and live on earth, you have a weakness, because man was not created perfect and has flaws.

Look at the image from the Robin Wood Tarot deck that I use. Use your imagination and put yourself into the picture 'your life' that you call unhappiness. You aren't suppose to be there, but FEEL it suck you in. Being in the dark can FEEL sad and depressing, making one FEEL as if there is no way out from the life you have 'Experience your weaknesses overwhelming you, your desires becoming stronger, and until you have this obsessions with your needs not being met. You've fallen into his trap, and you don't know how you got yourself into this rut. It's a gloomy place in your life, which is why you must assume it was someone else's fault (blame) that you are there. You spend night and day with your thoughts, obsessions, and desperation, but they lead you absolutely nowhere. Excuses are not real, which is why you haven't been motivated to take action. This concept provides you with a false sense of entitlement, giving you 'permission' that your responsibilities aren't yours. You give all of your power to your weakness and your Devil, but you will complain of feel depressed if you have no control. Perhaps you will disagree with me, saying 'No, that's isn't true' and you'll begin to repeat all the problems that you perceive as valid, that brought you to this very moment. It's a vicious cycle that repeats itself because you have become submissive to your dependencies, which separates you from living a satisfied life. You can not see beyond the walls of the deep hole that you have put yourself in - unless, you take a stand and change your perspective - by removing yourself from that position. Your perspective of the situation is not real, and your weaknesses and Devil want you to THINK that. Otherwise, you gain your power back, while they lose theirs. Some people believe it's much easier to give up hope that to work, and strive for real goals. Cheaters, thieves, and manipulators may THINK that they have gained something valuable by hiding their intentions, but in reality they sell their soul, their friendships, their loved ones for a little instant gratification. Their sacrifice is much larger than their earnings.

Look at your image in the aluminum foil. The Devil is your mirror, and your personal reflection is crippled. The Devil reminds us of what we don't have, how we don't appear, and tells us that we can not be happy without it. As our cravings multiply, we encourage our own ugliness, our dark-sided monster to rise from the depths of our own hell. Look at the card image for The Devil. You are quite aware that a light is at the end of the tunnel, but you are unable to separate yourself from what is real and what is illusion. You may appear to be trying to escape, but you sabotage your own efforts in the end, by holding onto your weakness, which keep you weighted down. Frustrated, stuck, immoveable, boredom, carelessness, like a zombie walking the earth. You have prioritized your deficiencies more valuable than life. What hidden side of yourself is tucked away in that big trunk? You've made an agreement with yourself, 'a deal with the devil', to stay attached to these special possessions, and they remind you of your weaknesses, flaws, and pain every single day. They serve you no importance, why don't you release them?

Look into the fouled image of yourself. You already know who are you, and who you want to be. Your outer world isn't aware of who you really are, because they see you from a different perspective. They can pass harsh judgments upon you for actions that were made to satisfy your own weaknesses. If you do not like the image that you see of yourself, then spread the foil out, and use the dry wash cloth to smooth out the crinkles. Think about situations or people that you would like to 'correct' as you rub the foil smoothly, to clear up the wrinkles, the misunderstandings, and your public image. Rub your image clean, letting go of weaknesses and addictions, to reveal your true self. The Devil should not to be feared, but understood. What and who we fear, is only challenging us to be become braver and stronger than we were. Therefore, we should befriend our dark side and not be intimidated, or else we can not comprehend the truth in our outer world, until we learn the truth about ourselves. Look at the image, in one hand we hold great gifts from The Devil, while the other hand reaches out for light. What will you sacrifice to have the other? DEVIL spelled backwards is LIVED.

Whatever you may need to let go in order to build, say it so. Repeat your statement as you see fit, and continue to clear your image. As you repeat your statement, release your imperfections, but add much more emphasis on your success instead ~ because this is what leads you our from the Devil's cave.

Like a freight train traveling through a tunnel, say: "__________ is not my priority anymore, because I choose __________ instead."

Astrologically speaking: The Devil is ruled by Saturn, who rules Capricorn. We need to be strong, focused, and wiling to make genuine sacrifices to achieve our goals. Otherwise, we can drown in our own karma, overwhelmed as difficulties seem never-ending. Saturn teaches us discipline, respect, and moral responsibility, through hard work. If you want your power back, if you want to gain control, then you will need to prove it by ripping down the damaged, and building fresh foundation. Healthy boundaries are necessary as saturn transits, and right now he is transiting through Libra until October 2010. We are building something stronger for our relationships with others, but we must have done this for ourselves first. In Libra, we are creating balance. Saturn in Libra will be filled with karmic fulfillment, whether we gain from his rewards or suffer consequences - we can not escape now. Karma is not revengeful or bliss ~ it simply balances. What is good for the goose, is good for the gander.

Saturn in Libra teaches us how to build strong relationships by hard work. We learn to prioritize our needs and relationships by sacrificing what we imagined gave us strength and power. Through Saturn, it could get worse before you see it get better, pretty much like rehab. Saturn will test your strength and what you are made of, where you develop health issues and areas of break downs. But with sincere dedication, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Making healthy boundaries helps us to make healthy decisions.

With Saturn, you could become lost, lonely, depressed, ill, poor, or simply accustomed to a dark life if you hold on to the unnecessary attachments. Rather than letting go of our ugly secrets and burdens, Saturn would rather suffer in fear with paranoia, anxiety , and worry, as letting go of control and material possessions are his weak points. We may look for alternative methods and medications to relieve us from our loneliness . The heaviness that we feel is inside that big ole treasure chest of emotional memories that you seen in the card image. Beneath that tough exterior, Saturn is true softie. He gives because he is loving and dedicated. Betray him, and he takes it all back... including the dust bunnies under the bed. The attachments become painful reminders of what was once important, keeping us in a constant place of grieving. The chains that hold you anchored to the bottom of the ocean must be broken if you want to float your way back to the top, to inhale a new life and sunshine. Otherwise, you become a slave to that which ails and hinders you, and you can take that casket of 'yesterdays' wherever you go.
