For one to become pure in this world, one must first attain the knowledge of the Soul. The Soul, by nature, is absolutely and completely pure, and our real true identity is nothing but ‘Soul’. Yes, we are really a Pure Soul, indeed! However, the Soul remains in a dormant stage until the Enlightened being, who has experienced the Soul and has the ability to make others experience the same, connects us with our true form!!!

When we acquire Self-Realization, we grasp the understanding that our true form is the pure Soul. And from there, we begin your journey to become completely pure. Just like if one wants to become a doctor, he requires experiential knowledge of medicine; in the same token, if you want to become pure, you require experiential knowledge of the Self.

As one’s understanding of the Soul develops, so will his purity. Very often, the simile of different phases of moon, i.e. from dark moon to waxing crescent moon all the way upto full moon, is given to define the level of purity one has attained. Eg. when one has become completely pure, the full moon stage is said to be achieved. At this stage, the person attains ultimate liberation wherein He is free from all merit and demerit karmas, experiencing absolute bliss.

Akram Vignan, the spiritual science of today’s age, provides the stepless path to such liberation!! Stepless means one does not have to persevere hard to go up every step of the ladder of purity. It is only with the help of the divine grace of Akram Gnani, the Enlightened Being, that one very easily and directly attains Self-Realization. And that too in just two hours through a scientific process called ‘Gnanvidhi’, wherein the Gnani puts in a line of demarcation between the Self (our Pure Soul) and the non-Self (all the impurities lying within us).

Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, the founder of Akram Vignan, has said, “The Soul has never become impure, not even for a second. If it had become impure, then no one in this world would have been able to purify it.” But just like gold never gets impure but it lies in mixture form with other metals in an ornament, similarly the Soul has never become impure but lies amidst the non-self complex in our body. And like we require a goldsmith to separate gold from other metals, we need the Living Gnani to separate the Self from the non-Self complex, after which:

•One realizes really ‘Who am I’
•The wrong belief of ‘l am the owner of the name, body and the ego’ gets forsaken.
•One obtains knowledge of ‘who is the real doer’ in this world and consequently does not believe himself or any other person in the world to be the actual doer of whatever happens. With this, one gains the flawless vision to see the world!
•All sorts of Karmas, merit or demerit, stop getting newly charged. Now, one has to just finish the remaining karmas, which have been brought forth from the previous life. And how to do that?... Gnani shows the way!!
•The negative emotions of hatred, vengeance, etc. get removed at source. Instead, the inner intent to not hurt any living being to the slightest extent through speech, thoughts or deeds sets in.
•All of the above put together gives one an impartial vision that helps him see all the mistakes that his ego is responsible for.
•One’s worldly conduct and interactions with loved ones, family , friends and at work start becoming purer. And whenever we run into problem or confusion, Gnani is there to guide us!! We can ask Him questions and get the resolution to our day-to-day problems.
•Yet, due to our past life’s karmas, whenever any living being happens to get hurt through our speech, thoughts or deeds, Gnani teaches us the 3-fold process of pratikraman to clean and clear these mistakes:

1.Alochana: Recall of the mistake,
2.Pratikraman: Repentance and asking for forgiveness for the mistake and,
3.Pratyakhyan: Resolution never to repeat the mistake.

This helps us get permanent freedom from all our mistakes, one by one, and makes us purer, as our focus is always on our own mistakes now. Moreover, the other person too feels the positive effects of our pratikraman, which helps resolve clashes or grudges in the relationship.

•As we remain in more and more awareness of the Self and indulge the ego into clearing all the mistakes through the prescribed 3-fold process of pratikraman, we keep becoming more and more pure. Emotions such as anger, pride, deceit, greed, fear, depression , like-dislike begin to lessen their effects on us and also on those around us.

•The final outcome of this is Absolute Purity, when the unity and oneness with every single living being gets firmly established: “I and You are of the same form. We both are Pure Soul. And hence we both are one. There is no difference between us.”

Gnani always dwells in Absolute Purity; and with His love and grace, He puts us on the same path too, so that going ahead, we too can become pure like Him!!!

Author's Bio:

Ambalal M. Patel was a civil contractor by profession. In June 1958, spontaneous Self-Realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. From this point on, Ambalal became a Gnani Purush, and the Lord that manifest within him became known as Dada Bhagwan. A Gnani Purush is One who has realized the Self and is able help others do the same. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan used to go from town to town and country-to-country to give satsang (spiritual discourse) and impart the knowledge of the Self, as well as knowledge of harmonious worldly interactions to everyone who came to meet him. This spiritual science, known as Akram Vignan, is the step-less path to Self-realization.
