We finally have baseball back, and at the end of this week both the NBA and the NHL will start back up.

For diehard sports fans it has been an absolute test of patience, waiting and wondering if and when all those sports , all those teams, all those athletes would be back in action, doing what they do.

Of course still there is the NFL, who has canceled all of the preseason games, and so the nail biting continues for everyone who follows *that* sport too.

When we pray to God for something that we want Him to move in, we enter into a similar mode, a mindset not too different from what I just described that sports fans slip into. It's what you might call a nervous anticipation.

As Catholic Christians we KNOW everything is on God's time, and in fact, in the Our Father we even pray THY will be done. YET, we want His will to be done immediately.

Friends, turn to the source of guidance that we need in following Him, and read in Psalms chapter 27 where verse 14 encourages us, "Wait for the Lord, take courage; be stouthearted, wait for the Lord!"

It might be four months, like the NBA and the NHL had to wait to resume play, but the Lord is real and present. He hears your prayers. Lay them at His feet and wait.
