In this age of internet, dreamingof a successful YouTube channel is nothing unusual. It’s because personal content creation is one of the biggest internet phenomenon happening worldwide. And one common, but popular form of that is Vlogging.

But starting a vlog deals with some technical issues. And to succeed in vlogging, you must follow some strategies.
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to start a vlog.
Step 1: opening a YouTube channel

First, create an account on YouTube where you are going to upload your video blogs. Now choose a name and create a logo for it.
The name you choose must be
● Relevant to the topic on which your videos are on.
● Must not be illegal or degrading to anyone
● Must be easily utterable
● Attractive and interesting and if it goes, then funny.
Don’t pick a name that has already been used, no matter once or billion times. Suppose, if you are Andrew Smith and you're opening a personal vlog. Don’t make a username like AndrewSmith Day. It’s so common. Again, don’t use Adnrew354792@54Smith34 which is too jumbled and people have to struggle to read it. Try something easier like Ansmith daily vlogs or Time with AnSmith etc.

Again, a logo will give your channel recognition. Or in other words, it’s the profile picture of your youtube channel too. So carefully create one that gets your niche best.
Step 2: creating videos
We are talking about quality videos. It’s the most important thing as people will judge your channel seeing this. It depends on two things.
➢ Your performance
➢ Some Technical issues

There’s a typical style of video blogging. You can either follow it or create a new art. But whatever you do, make sure that it is both presentable and watchable. If it supposed to be informative or fun, then make sure you’ve provided enough information.
Don’t rush to upload your first video under excitement. Try to show your standard from the very first video as it matters. So take all your time and give trials again and again.
There’re some technical facts that enhance the video quality. These are- Camcorder, lights, audio. If you can’t manage an HD digital camera, at least manage a 720p quality camera. Videos with iPhone will be great too. Make sure that your voice can be heard clear especially if you are shooting outdoors. Use microphones if necessary.

Another way of making videos more attractive is to use photos and music. There’re websites those provide royalty-free images and music. You can use them as background. But don’t forget to mention the websites. Otherwise, it will be considered as stolen. To use photos or animations or music, you must be good in editing.
Step 3: editing videosAs I mentioned above editing videos will make them more appealing. But it can also ruin it if you can’t do it perfectly. So better you be skilled in software or get it done by someone else. As a beginner, you can start with iMovie or Windows Movie Maker.

Learning to edit will also help you to make your channel banner. A channel banner contains a long strip containing your channel name at the top. There’re many options. You can use Photoshop or Gimp. Done creating the banner? Now you have got an avatar.
Step 4: uploading videos
Once you’ve created quality videos and complete editing, it’s time to upload them. At the beginning, try uploading two or more videos per day.
But there’s no point if no one watches it. So share it on your personal accounts on social media like Facebook, Twitter. Also, tell your close friends to subscribe and share. Create pages on other Medias too.
Keep active and check the number of subscribers and views. Also, see the comments on your video and respond to them.
Step 5: becoming a YouTube partner
As soon as you have a few thousand subscribers and views, ask for YouTube partnership. You have to apply for it. By Becoming a YouTube partner, you can earn money. Ads will be added to your videos and each time a viewer sees it, it gets you money. It’ll also help your channel becoming popular.

Congratulation! You’ve started a successful vlog.
Final verdictSee, being a performer isn’t enough to start and run a successful vlog. But you must be skilled in technology also.
Wish you a happy vlogging.
