How about a 4D/3N holiday stay in Phuket? Well, you cannot experience the amount of fun and excitement you can have in the top destination of Thailand. I am writing on this as I just returned from this heaven.

My location was near the Patong Beach, which was a boon for my trip and covered many things that I wanted to experience. Before all this, finding cheap flights to Phuket was painstaking, but got my hands on the best deal. There were few things I had to keep in mind, but I bring out the best five things you can do in Phuket.

Check out the Bangla Street

As you approach Bangla Street, a grand sign will welcome you and sucks you in. As the sun goes down, the street starts to get busy and there is so much of action and movement that begins within 10 minutes. Locals will surround you to watch a Tiger Show or a Ping Pong Show.

You will see plenty of children running around throwing flowers at you and even garlanding you to squeeze out money for those garlands. Have a close encounter with men carrying gibbons and huge lizards that seem to be tamed as they are drugged.

It is quite a sight! I tried looking in the eyes of the gibbons, and it was a sad look as they are poorly treated.

Finally, I found a nice and clean bar. It looked decent, as there were no dancers, but only pool tables and LCD screens.

Go Wild! Go Parasailing!

All you adventure lovers who are not scared of heights, want to try Parasailing? During the rainy season, the winds are quite wild and it creates the perfect weather for sports . This is how it gets about - you are strapped and attached to a colourful parachute, which is bound to a speedboat. That is it! Now get ready to fly around! Sounds easy?

Well, you are not there all by yourself, there will be someone behind you to direct and steer you around, and most importantly, help you land safely. It costs between 700 to 1,200 baht.

A Visit to Phi Phi Islands

You may have heard good things about Phi Phi Islands; you will surely make a stop there. To get over to that island, you either take a ferry or else swim across. What we did was, we picked up a budget cruise because it was cheaper.

However, as you make your way through the shallow waters, you can snorkel at several places. Get a feel of feeding the fishes in those shallow waters.

After the snorkelling stop, the cruise stopped us at Phi Phi Don for a buffet lunch and some free time to look around. The fried chicken drumettes were good! We took the chance to explore the tiny island and admired the turquoise waters.

If you are not accustomed to the waters, you might be struck with motion sickness. If you wish to avoid such seasickness, sleep throughout the journey for at least an hour. Do not forget to carry a medicated oil to inhale along the way.

Capture the View of the Great Buddha

The trip to the Great Buddha is a mesmerizing one since the statue is perched on top of a mountain and you can get amazing views. The best view is while you climb up, so be sure to halt at points and feel the breeze.

You could also get an ATV tour to that area. Any other vehicle will take ages to reach the top. I advise you not to make the climb when it is raining as the roads tend to get slippery and there are chances of lightning. So stay safe and enjoy!

Visit the Southern Beaches

With an amazing number of beaches in Phuket, be sure to choose the beach you desire to experience cautiously to chart out the most cost-efficient route.

During my 4D/3N in Phuket, we covered most of the beaches. Right from Kamala Beach to Nai Harn Beach and the favourite Kata and Nai Harn Beach because of their crystal clear waters and less crowd! Kata Beach is great for surfing and to catch the sunset.

The weather in Phuket is usually tropical, fluctuating between warm, cool and rainy climate. It never really gets too cold. The high tourist season is from November to February when it is cool and dry, after which it remains quite hot until May. Monsoon season begins mid-May and goes on until October.

Summary

Phuket is a gem of a tiny nation flooded with several beaches at its coastline. With Phuket flights, you can save much and bag fantastic deals and discounts. Phuket can either be tagged as wild, untamed or utterly engrossing with the view of the sea as well as of the surrounded mountains.
