Fundamental Principles of Human Rights and Islam

In the contemporary times, various and complex issues are prevailing in our societies. Regarding this, fundamental rights of human beings are most violated. There is gross misconception and creed for Islam and Muslims in the west that Islamic teachings and values do not support and recognize human rights and obligations. It was unknown to rights and obligations of human beings and their implementation. We found a great advancement in the fields of arts and sciences by many civilizations and they got prominent place in the world regarding their contributions but they never did anything for promotion of human rights and for its practical executions. Progress in human rights, if there were any, would arise their legitimacy from an exact ruler whoever is in place and his descendant would not be guaranteed to spread them: human rights approved by a head of state could be carried off by another if supposed compulsory or convenient.
