Day 4 of the 12 Days of Healthy Eating Gifts
brought to you by WiseHeart Wellness WorldWide
Treating food addiction and compulsive eating

Welcome, to your fourth Healthy Eating gift. This one will be filled with drinks and desserts! Yes, really. During special events we don't want you to spend it feeling deprived or over indulging in things that make you feel bad. So what's the other choice?

The development of great, fun, health filled foods that you enjoy and share with others. People often mindlessly eat the things they have always eaten, not because they really like them or like how they make them feel, but simply because they have always eaten them and somebody else in front of them either is eating the stuff or offering it to them.

Creating an intentional life where you like what you eat and eat what you like, begins when you become a little more honest about the impact of what your eating has on you and a little more open to trying on some new ideas. Lead don't follow. Let go of what doesn't serve you and create new nourishing traditions. Don't fear the party, be the party!
Here are a few of our family favorite creations:

Soy Eggnog - eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, stevia and soymilk

Candy Cane Nog - the Soy Eggnog above mixed with steeped Celestial Seasoning Candy Cane tea - kids love this drink

Fruit Perrier - sparkling water mixed with mango and or cranberry juice with. mandarin orange segments in it.

Mojito Tea - a warm take off on a popular bar beverage, you can buy premade by Tetly Tea or make your own with crushed mint, honey and lime

Fruit arrangements are our favorite gift hands down. Delicious fresh fruit in fun arrangements. You can make them yourself or purchase them at Edible Arrangements. Make sure to ask for no chocolate dip, if that is a trigger food or brain chemistry problem for you.

Great party food to share because you can place the fruit onskewers you can hand out and hold. A huge hit with everyone looking for change from chips and cookies.

When you're done with that party you can reuse them over and over, filling them with your personal favorite seasonal fruits. Have fun with your food!

A last crazily healthy treat my child and I adore is to have apple slices and dip them into a mixture of fresh ground flax and cinnamon. People are always asking to try this and it provides an interesting, satisfying taste and texture. It is better when you have a sturdy apple slicer that you push down on the apple and it cores and slices the perfect pieces that sit on the corer to be picked off and dipped. We like the process as much as the taste.

Have fun exploring some new, healthy and fun Eating traditions - we would love to hear about your discoveries and encourage you to share them with others. Be the change. Let us know how you do at info@wiseheartweightmastery.com
