If you find that you don’t have enough money from your regular jobs to pay the bills and buy all the things you want, you need to find ways to make more money. This doesn’t always mean that you have to go out and get a second job. In fact, there are all kinds of interesting things that you can do in your spare time that will help you earn a lot of extra money. Here are a few suggestions to get you started.

  • Write an E-Book – If you are the creative type, and you love to write, a great way to earn extra money is to write an e-book. The best thing is that you don’t need to spend any money to do this. All you need is your computer, and an Internet connection when you are ready to publish and sell your e-book. Choose a topic (how-to books and other informational, non-fiction books are always a good choice), create an outline that will make writing a whole lot easier because you have a plan , and start writing. This is the most difficult part of the process, but the outline will help. Once you have the e-book written, it’s time to do the editing, polishing, etc., and then find outlets such as Amazon to sell it.
  • Offer Part-Time Moving Services– If you have a truck and you are physically healthy, you can offer your services as a mover on a part-time basis. This is not a job that is limited to men. While women may not be able to lift heavy furniture, there are many moving jobs that they can do, such as moving fragile items, packing, etc. Many moving companies will let you create a free account where you can list your rates, services, hours or service, etc. so you can get hired for moving jobs. You can work on your own time, and depending on the jobs, you can make some pretty good money.
  • Start a T-Shirt Business – You have the option of designing your own shirts, or having a professional designer do it for you. Once you have the design ready to go, it is time to choose the printing option. You can do it yourself, but that means you have to spend a lot of money on printing equipment. You can also buy wholesale shirts, but this usually means that you have to commit to buying t0shirts in large quantities. The other option is print on demand, which is a bit more costly, but you can choose how many shirts you order. Once you have your shirts, you can start selling online, at local markets and craft fairs, stores, etc.
  • Become a “Chauffeur”– While you need to have training and get a special license to be an actual chauffeur, you don’t need any special license to drive people around to run errands, go to appointments, etc. You can make as much as $35 just by driving people around if you are working with Lyft , an app and service that is an alternative to traditional taxi services. Users log in and request rides in all major cities in the US, and it is less expensive (and faster) than calling a cab. If you have a vehicle and some spare time, this may be the ideal money-making opportunity for you.
  • Start Selling Your Photos – If you are into photography, you have a way to make extra money simply by doing something you already love. You don’t need a lot of gear to get started either, and you likely already have much of what you need. This includes a good camera, a tripod, and a makeshift studio for doing product photography. You can sell your photos through a number of online sites, at markets and fairs, to businesses that need products photographed, and more.
