In this article I shall describe new processing techniques to handle regression memories that trigger past life traumas in reference to child therapy. Using these processes Increases the rate of Spontaneous Healing 100%.

Regression is easier for a child because they live in an imaginary world and a session can be framed as a game. Furthermore they aren’t programmed yet to believe their souls only have one incarnate life.

Regression is used to take a child back to earlier events, en-utero gestational adaptations, in-between lives and past lives. In working with the eternal life of the soul, one sees consistent life patterns, behaviors, traits, phobias, belief systems, relationship issues, and illnesses that are carried forward into the current life or at least the predisposition to them.

Specific incidents in childhood reactivate or trigger latent past life experiences that belong to the inherited or karmic level of the complex presenting for therapy, such as inordinate fears, pathologically fixed view points, compulsive behaviors, etc. These incidents carry resonance with the specific past life trauma that they trigger.

By recognizing the possibility that the young child’s reactions to what they are experiencing may be based in past life experiences and thus have an amplified effect on their young psyche’s, they benefit in two ways.

One is that the parent and counselor looses incredulity and becomes willing to credit to the child’s veracity.

We stop labeling them as liars, exaggerators, overly emotional, and drama queens, which in turns stops the self fulfilling prophecy aspect of children believing the external labels put on them and growing into that label versus remaining in touch with their authentic self.

It further changes the way we think about and feel about the child once we reframe our beliefs about them and consider their behavior from a larger vantage point of possibilities. With this internal change in ourselves, the child responds by shifting more readily into willingness to go to the place of fear so that we can determine the underlying cause and delete it from their consciousness. We treat them differently hence they sense their experience is being validated, that they are respected, and believed which prevents them distancing themselves and isolating into a world that holds fear and pain for them, being too “ashamed to talk about it.” Children who are already shame based from early life are much less likely to reveal any of their emotional problems believing there is something wrong with them and this will just be another chance to get laughed at or told to grow up.

Phobias and exaggerated reactions to loss or separation often prove to have such past life roots. This will be discussed more later.

Illnesses are another avenue that responds well to regression and the dispensing of the underlying causes. Children come in for chronic pain and illnesses which have a high medical response to the regression restructuring therapy. In many cases these incidents have resisted diagnosis by traditional medicine. The sudden onset of persistent aches and pains are revealed to stem from past life injuries in the exact same spot. Birthmarks are thought to be prior evidence of other life physical traumas. A predisposition for a particular illness can be sourced in another life where they had the same problem or the ideal set up for that illness. Instances of drowning as a precursor to asthma comes up as well as a fear of the water in the current life.

MethodologyNon-imprinting Non-traumatic therapy

Using standard past life regression techniques may make the re-living of a past life story equally as painful and dramatic as the re-living of a current life experience. But this is un-necessary. In order to avoid this, regression work can be handled differently than traditional regression therapy. The suggestion is made to the child to pretend they are the director of their own movie. This keeps them in observer mode rather than allowing them to get sucked into the drama in the first person by remaining in reactive mode. Before we begin they are instructed to hang their emotions on a hook, or place them in a box on a table outside the regression episode. They are assured they are in control of the experience and can turn the “control” knobs up or down or off which appeals to their growing sense of independence. It also alleviates the element of fear and is used as a cue to snap them out of any lifetime they are reviewing.

Additionally I never have the child recite the incident and their feelings repeatedly as most past life therapists do in order to flatten the emotions attached to the trauma. This re-imprints their psyche and re-traumatizes them to the point where they can get stuck in the past life incident due to the enormous in flooding of threatening feelings of impending danger, guilt, or shame. This only serves to decrease their rationality and functionality which is an already disabled in the young whose brains are not finished developing.

Instead, through the use of Cognitive and Emotional Restructuring Protocols, the process can be re-experienced without reliving the severe disturbance thus eliminating the emotional and psychological impairment which comes up during the session and can become a long lasting effect. Having the client relive the incident through repetition from an emotional first person viewpoint only serves to exacerbate the PTSD they came in with.

However, briefly recalling and processing the past life incident during the session has the potential of resolving and dissipating the energy that has been bound to the complex since the originating incident no matter when it occurred. Using deletion protocols, followed by a restructuring reframe, removes the trauma permanently so that there is no emotional resonance to trigger in the future which is the goal of therapy.

A vague memory remains and lessons can be learned and stored to prevent repetitive life patterns continuing. Prior to bringing the child back to the present moment, they are given the opportunity to decide what they have gained and learned in this past life experience, gain insight into how similar patterns are being played out in their current life, and decide for themselves what knowledge would be most advantageous to carry into their present life. Never underestimate the wisdom and logic of a child.
They often come up with simple but practical insights an adult may have missed or blocked by denying they still have behaviors they are ashamed of.

Children’s honesty in admitting why they don’t like certain people or think things are unfair is crucial to the process of reshaping these viewpoints. Because children are fanciful and consciously believe their imaginings, when they remember an incident in another life involving some one else, it seems like a game to them and they are more likely to accept it as a basis for why they can’t get along with the person in this life. Adults are so incredulous about having lived before they block the learnings and the understanding that could transfer into healing in this life with that person.

The truth behind the child’s feelings is acknowledged, the other person’s motivations are looked at and appreciated, forgiveness takes place and the child begins the process of realizing everyone has their own reasons for behaving as they do. After the session they are less egocentric to some extent and they have released the charge on the other person and can interact more openly with less prejudice.

Closure is accomplished via the reframe, forgiveness and releasement protocols, and restructuring life supporting programs to be used in the current life.

Abandonment Issues

Notwithstanding that holding onto parent’s and screaming are part of suffering through separation anxiety , once in a while phobias and exaggerated reactions to loss or separation often prove to have such past life roots. This will be discussed more later. Case histories indicate that children who have been abandoned by the same soul in other lives are more sensitive to separation anxiety . It’s as if they came back with this soul to see if this lifetime, that soul would honor their need for them.
And sometimes it is the opposite where the abandonment resonance was from the now child, former parent in the other life, having abandoned the now parent and creating karmic retribution during this life time.

As stated, past life experiences often interface with childhood abandonment stories and separation issues. Age and developmental stage has a huge effect on how deeply the child is imprinted with the feelings of loss, aloneness, isolation, and abandonment. Because children are ego-centric and believe everything relates to and is caused by them, all of the emotional phenomenon above are accompanied by feelings of rejection and unworthiness which add to the burden the unhappy child is already carrying.

With loss comes grief and the necessary process of mourning the perceived loss or the real loss whatever the case may be. Un-mourned in the past or parallel life, is un-mourned in the life the child is currently experiencing and is always unhealthy and causes the sadness and anxiety to persist.

If handled correctly by the care-givers, the child will not experience shame or embarrassment for feeling their pain. Not allowing them to feel their feelings or ignoring the grieving period sets up a life long pattern of stuffing their feelings and often, turning them off to such an extent they become out of touch with their own feelings. Acknowledging that loss is one of life’s larger issues that eventually will have to be dealt with by everyone, not just children, eases their minds. Past life sessions give the child the opportunity to understand the healing inherent in completing unfinished grief, fragments of which have re-surfaced in their current lives. Regardless if the loss of the loved one is a temporary separation or a loss through death , these are opportunities to teach the child that they are always attached to their loved ones through the energy of their love where they live in their heart no matter what dimension the loved one is in.

Nightmares in Childhood

There are many cases where a relatively innocuous stimulus such as the sight of a military uniform, a particular animal, a scene from a movie, or the sound of a scream may trigger a past life memory in the child's deep unconscious. The child's intense reaction may be suggestive of trauma or childhood abuse , but often there has been no abuse in this lifetime. What has been triggered is a past life memory in the child's subconscious mind which is the repository of that soul’s Akashic records. Such residues often constitute the stuff of night terrors as they are replayed in the imagination by the unconscious in an attempt to finish with the post traumatic stress connected to the other life incident. In such cases, the young are very clear about their fear of being eaten or killed so that these perceptions can be removed and explained away in the case of irrational fears.

A satisfactory resolution may be reached with therapeutic intervention. Kindness, understanding, and compassion for the past life trauma they are experiencing versus judgment is crucial if the child is to move past these recurring terrors and survive with their newly developing self esteem intact.

Conclusion

The use of Regression Therapy does not require a deep trance, is not maintained for long periods and is less foreign a concept to a child, depending on their family programming, often than to an adult.

If children are allowed to retain the universality of the knowledge they came in with, and the interconnectedness they may still feel to the other side, taking a trip to another “imagined’ life is not that unusual for them. Children are fanciful and imaginative and believe in all manner of alter ego lives both for themselves, invisible friends, and for non physical entities like fairies and angels.

If the parents do not believe in the process or in the eternal life of the soul, it may not be a good idea to have their child undergo this other-life game with a clinical therapist unless, they are willing to stay open minded and learn about different methodologies for healing their offspring. Otherwise adding their opinions about the process may color the child’s beliefs for the rest of their life and will probably undermine the process so that it is rendered non viable as an avenue of therapy.
