Remember the first time your child asked you a question you couldn’t answer? Everyone has! Maybe you’re still not ready to admit it. What do you say?

Do you stumble and mumble and try to distract them from the answer you don’t know? Do you go to your speedy search engine? What if it’s a moral or ethical question? That poses another question.

Is your morality applicable only to children? Is it “do as I say and not as I do”? It gets kind of tricky doesn’t it? It really doesn’t have to be.

Someone recently asked me “at what age do you start talking to children about religion ”. I was like. Gee, I think I’d just start by letting them know that I am not GOD. And I am certainly not their god.

I would let them know that I am your parent (or guardian or babysitter). Whatever the case may be for you. That’s HUGE. After all, you will eventually be found out.

There are some things you just can’t answer. I don’t know everything. Do you?

We may have been here longer than our children. We may feel powerful over this small life just entering this big world, but we don’t have all the answers. God does.

A lot of errors in our society come from the need to know everything. And when we come from a place of not knowing and taking action, we can make a lot of mistakes.

So I would begin as early as possible to let children know about FAITH. I don’t know everything, but GOD knows.

Some things (most) require prayer before action. Some of the best solutions I have ever received have been from waiting on GOD.

Families that pray together (prayer circle) regularly run like butter. It doesn’t mean they are perfect, but they are usually harmonious. That is worth knowing and so is GOD.
