So many people in this world are afraid of death ! And it is mainly for the fear of the unknown.

How and what will it be like, when one passes through the time before, during and after the death ?How will I die? What will the process of death be like - would it be painful or will it be an easy death? When will death happen? Would I be in a dependant state then, amidst a long term illness, or I would be hale and hearty, moving around independently? Where will I go after death? What kind of circumstances will I be in after death - will it be a better state than what I am presently in or would I meet the worst? Will my loved ones be besides me at the time of death or would I be alone without their loving support when I’m leaving? What if my beloved dies before me? What happens to my loved ones after me?

When one does not find any answers to the above questions, he becomes perplexed. One remains afraid of death as the mystery continues to haunt him day and night, especially when one sees the time of death soon approaching or when one listens to news of someone, he can relate with, has passed away. Also, there’s a lot of fear associated with the death of the beloved one. And the loved ones in turn happen to be afraid of our death for not wanting to leave us.

However, as one learns about the facts surrounding death, his fears get eased as he finds the right understanding that helps him when facing such situations in life. One can even achieve a state free from the cycle of birth and death through clarification of all mysteries related to life and death.

So come, today, let’s try to solve the mystery surrounding death by learning the facts.
Death is certain.Birth and death are events. Every event has an end. The inherent nature of anything that begins is that it always comes to an end. Was it not a beginning when you went to school and did that event not come to an end? Similarly, every event has a beginning and an end. When everyone has to witness death at some point in time during his or her life, then, why live in fear?

It is simply destiny or the law of karma which determines the time of death. Death takes place when all the accounts of karma of a person’s life are finished. Whatever account he had bound for the current life comes to an end, and so death occurs. Nothing is in our hands now. Then what’s the point of being afraid of something we have no control on?

Any suffering that one experiences in life, during death or even after death is due to one’s karma. Karma is our action for which we have to undergo suffering in reaction. But, if we heartily repent for all our wrong actions, the reactions that will come in form of suffering shall be very mild in nature. So, while we are still alive, we must recall all our bad deeds and wrong intentions that we harnessed through our life, and for each of these, must seek pardon from God, “Oh God! I have made so and so mistake. Please pardon me for this mistake and grant me strength so that I never repeat this mistake again.” When you practise this sincerely, you will have no reason to fear for it will greatly reduce the untoward possibilities at the time of death.

Wherever there is birth, there is death. But we are beyond birth and death!
Death is inevitable to whatever is born. So death is connected to birth. When you sew a shirt, you can say that the shirt is created or born. Similarly, our body is born and hence it will die one day.

However, the good news is that we are not the body! Yes, we are really a Pure Soul, which is free from the bondage of birth and death. Although we are different beings physically, in our elemental form we all are same. The Soul is an eternal element. The Soul is our true Self. The Soul is Absolute Knowledge. Where there is ignorance, there is darkness and hence there is fear. But where there is knowledge, there is light, and fear cannot exist in this light.

Who is the Knower of this beginning and the end? You are that Knower. Things that have a beginning and an end are all temporary. Our body and name have a beginning and an end, and therefore are temporary. But who is the knower of the temporary nature of everything? You, the permanent Soul, are that Knower of the temporary. Death is of temporary and You are just the knower of it! You remain even after the death of body. What for should you fear then?

When you understand the nature of the Soul, all puzzles related to death are solved.
To really understand the nature of the Soul, you need to realize the Soul. Akram Vignan is a spiritual science whereby Self-Realization is easy to attain with grace of Gnani!!!

Gnani is the Enlightened One who experiences the eternal state of the Self, free from the bondage of birth and death. He remains separate from his body and every event related to the body and therefore He can easily remain separate from death too. He constantly remains, as a Soul, as the ‘knower and observer’ of whatever happens in his body.

Samadhi Death! The inherent property of the Soul is eternal bliss. After Gnani graces us with Self-Realization, at the time of death, one is able to remain in awareness of the Soul. And therefore, even amidst external difficulties that the body may be going through during death, one is not afraid of anything as internally, he is experiencing the bliss of the Soul. Such death is called Samadhi death.

Conclusion:Death is inevitable for all. Hence, there’s no point of fearing death. People, who are afraid of death, do so because of ignorance. Therefore, it is important to know the facts and live peacefully.

The most important fact to know is, “I am a Pure Soul.” As long as the wrong belief of, ‘I am this body’ prevails, attachment and abhorrence continue to occur within, giving rise to new causes for birth and death. Once Gnani, the Enlightened One, replaces this wrong belief with the right belief, ‘I am pure Soul’; attachment and abhorrence and consequently new causes that gave rise to the cycle of birth and death – all cease to occur!!
