Two main quotes come to mind this morning as I contemplate the most prevalent dream that I had during my astral time last night. I paraphrase:

“Nothing has meaning except the meaning we give it.” This, I believe is the first lesson in a Course in Miracles . Because my “stick-to-it-iveness” is very short it’s the only lesson I know. But I do apply it regularly. It’s what I call “it’s just a story.” For instance I had a client show up for her appointment on a rainy day, when I asked how she was doing she said not too bad for this lousy day.

I’m thinking “Red Flag.” She goes on to explain that she hates rainy days. So to her rainy day equals lousy day. To me rainy day equals glorious day. But really rainy day equals rainy day. It’s just a story and we’re the author. We get to change the story anytime!

The other quote that comes to me this Sunday morning is by Albert Einstein and in the interest of writing down my thoughts before losing them, I’m paraphrasing instead of researching the exact words. I trust you’ll get the gist of my message.“There are two ways to live: you can live as though nothing is a miracle or you can live as if everything is a miracle.”

I remember being in my mid twenties and pregnant with my first son. I was trying to explain to my husband at the time what a miracle it was that a new person was forming inside my body at that very moment. That what was once just an egg and sperm was now a tiny human inside of me. He just stared at me blankly, then finally he said “that’s just life.” Feeling a little defeated I responded by saying, “exactly, life is a miracle.” I couldn’t understand why he didn’t get it. Still don’t, frankly!

I dreamed last night that there were snakes everywhere. I opened my front door and saw a snake, then noticed that all over the ground were snakes. I had to go to the neighbors for some reason and began to walk trying to avoid the snakes only to notice they were also dangling from the trees. It was awful. The entire dream was filled with snakes getting into my car, the neighbor boy being bit, a dog being strangled by a snake, and I was bit several times. However, I never felt being bitten I only knew that I had been bitten because that appendage would begin to turn black. But my naturopath had a remedy to cure it every time. Nobody died.

I know that snake in some Native American lore means death and rebirth; the shedding of the old to come into the new. This information comes from a book I have owned and used for at least a decade. The book is called “Animal Speak” and I highly recommend it.

This makes sense to me as I have been aware of a transformation taking place in me over the last few months. To me this dream indicates that although the death process, meaning the death of an aspect of myself, is coming to an end and the rebirth is upon me now. This can be scary and we can get stuck in the fear occasionally, which is where I have been for awhile. But yesterday I woke up. Suddenly I was aware of the “sleep” I had been in.

I awoke from the dream this morning feeling inspired.

Some might say that it was just a dream or that I must have been thinking about or saw a snake and that influenced my dream. I prefer however to believe that it’s a message. That the incredible Universe I live in is part of me and is always eager to give me signs that I’m on the right path. I get signs because I look for signs. I encounter miracles because I define them as such. I could call it coincidence, but I choose to live a magical life. I’m happier that way.

Let me talk about God, parallel universes, time travel, signs from the Universe, messages from our angels and I’m in my happy place. These are my passions. We have infinite possibilities.

On the other hand I look up snake in my dream interpretation book just out of curiosity. Boy, it’s full of doom and gloom. It was all about impending danger, people out to get me, etc. Which one is right, you might ask.

As I mentioned before “nothing has meaning but the meaning we give it”.

I remember being about ten years old having been exposed to a couple of religions with apposing beliefs and asking my mom who was right. She told me they were both right. That was clear as mud! But now I get it. It’s what resonates with us, it’s what we like.

Because I’m drawn to the Native American lore of snake meaning death and rebirth my subconscious mind will provide snake as my messenger for that occurrence. If I decide that seeing 444 means that I’m surrounded by my guardian angels and being helped then my subconscious mind will create the experience of seeing 444 when I need it most.

To me, my dream was a message. A message that I’m not alone, a message that I’m on the right track; and that just feels good.

I invite my life to be filled with metaphors, signs and messages. I find bills and obligations to be boring without them. This works in all aspects of my life especially in my business. My story is that I know exactly what to say and do with my clients to help them to see or perceive something in a new way, which provides a release or healing that is most appropriate for them. I also tell myself that I am divinely guided in all my business decisions. It makes business fun to allow the Divine to play through me…And well hey it’s my story.

Let’s have fun!!!
