Born and raised in the Boston area, Idiscovered I had a knack for creating order and began organizing family andfriends as a teenager. After earning a BS degree and starting out in the manufacturing side of the garment industry, I spent several years in inventory management and planning, and completed APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) requirements for Materials Management certification.
My project planning and managementskills were further honed through planning and managing new product development projects for engineering groups (self-service kiosks and computerized cutting and test equipment). I was the liaison between engineering, marketing and operations to facilitate and implement the product development & test cycle timelines.
As a Customer Support Specialist I provided application and technical support to customers, including on-site troubleshooting, for multi-module software products. I trained coworkers and customers in the use of the software, replicated and submitted software bugs, and performed quality control on bug fixes and new products. Chosen to document the Customer Support processes for ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification and represent customer support on the management team to evaluate qualitystandards, I learned first-hand that the highest possible level of service to the customer was truly the driving force behind achieving the goals of excellence and ongoing improvement.
Here in California I reorganized a small, internet-based retail business in 2004: Planned and implemented the move to a larger space, determined the floor plan and office equipment layout, reorganized the inventory, and wrote office procedures.
I decided to start my own business in 2005 and Spatial Clarity was founded. With a unique ability to visualize the re-organization of processes and physical space, my innovative thinking and leadership provides the framework to improve how you do business.
Over the years I’ve seen a number of companies flounder or fail due to disorganization and a lack of planning. With 20 years of experience, a diverse skill set, and a proven track record, I’m passionate about working with businesses to re-engineer their business process and establish organizational systems that lead to success.
