Addictions seem so insurmountable but I'd like to encourage those who are addicted that quitting an addiction is very doable---but it takes really wanting to quit. Many people say they want to quit but do they really? Will they do what it takes to quit?
We only get one shot at life and I want to support people in saying......"Let's just get rid of that darn addiction that's running your life!"
I share my story of overcoming alcohol, cigarettes and junk food (candy bars especially) in my new book coming out in September. I talk about living with each addiction, then quitting the addictions. The book is about my alcohol addiction more than the other two addictions because alcohol impacted me the most (although being fat wasn't a picnic and I smoked for 28 years which is a heck of a long time).
