Have spent my career in industry and academia - trying to connect people to what really motivates them. I have a passion for helping people escape the mundane life of work and make their work pay for them - financially AND emotionally.I spent 13 years after engineering school in the telecommunications industry - mostly trying to find meaning in what I did. Left the industry to form new companies, and have almost accidently ended up in academia - running the Information Engineering and Management program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. (An executive masters degree program in engineering management.)
Having educated, led, and coached over 150 people in the program from many industries, I have discovered that almost all of corporate America wants out - they feel unfulfilled in their work and are looking to take control.
