- Taking Responsibility -Day 1 Self Improvement Bootcamp
https://www.selfgrowth.com/blog/bootcamp1.html Video: https://www.selfgrowth.com/blog/bootcamp1.html

Related Infromation:
This bootcamp is designed to help you gain insight into who you are, and help you determine the best approach to improve your life.

Summary:

This bootcamp is designed to help you gain insight into who you are, and help you determine the best approach to improve your life. Each day of the boot camp, we are going to cover one important area of your life, and we’ve found that the more active you are with the lessons, the greater the benefit that you’ll receive. Each lesson will build on the previous lesson. We start with some simple proven exercises and then build from there.

Experience has taught me that the first step to consciously making any change in your life is to first Take Responsibility for your life or at least take responsibility for that part of it.

Almost all of the experts talk about taking responsibility. They say to Stop blaming other people, but I have a slightly different view. I asked myself, Am I truly completely responsible for where I am today? When I think about taking responsibility, the question for me is NOT “Who is responsible for your current situation, BUT who will take responsibility for where you’ll be tomorrow.”

The answer for each of us has to be “I will”. Can we really give up this responsibility? Does anybody else want it? I don’t think so.

One of the exercises that I use and I recommend everybody use is starting with a list. Take a few minutes and think about the areas of your life that you are willing to take more responsibility for? They should be areas that you are serious about? Give yourself a few minutes to think about the key areas that you want to take more responsibility for. What are those key areas? You can post them under this video.

Most psychologists will tell you that your behavior is impacted by three factors, Genetics, environment and free will. We don’t have a lot of control over our genetics, at least not yet, and we can’t always control our environment, so all that’s left is free will. I know that it’s easy to blame your background, your boss, your schooling, politicians, your wife, your husband or your mother, but until we accept responsibility, we’re not going to make progress.

I am a strong believer in the concept of modeling. By modeling, I mean finding other people who are doing something well and copying or modeling their behavior. So, I would recommend that you look around at the people that you know “or know of” and find the most responsible person you know and ask for help or model their behavior. Find out what they’re doing.

Who are the most responsible people that you know? Think about the most responsible people that you know - Who are they and why are they so responsible? Please post them under this video.

Another idea is to take on small projects and see them through to completion. Take ownership of small projects first and then build on it. Then slowly increase the amount of responsibility you take on. The more we prove to ourselves that we can take on responsibility, the better we get at it.

Awareness is also critical. We need to make an extra effort to be aware when we are blaming others. This awareness alone will enable us to take greater responsibility. You might even want to go as far as to note every time that you blame somebody else, and right it down, or at least make a mental note.

Who are you blaming and what are you blaming them for?

Summary:
In this video, SelfGrowth.com’s David Riklan explains what exactly the Law of Attraction is, why it’s so controversial, and shows how YOU can change your life with the Law of Attraction.

While there may not be one universally-agreed-upon definition, most authors and speakers who teach the Law of Attraction would agree on the following:

The Law of Attraction says that people's thoughts - both conscious and unconscious - dictate the reality of their lives.
You attract into your life whatever you think about. Your dominant thoughts will find a way to manifest themselves, to come into being. Your thoughts become your reality.

So, if you think that you are rich, you will get rich.

If you believe you’ll get the promotion, get the new car, the big mansion, get the girl – or guy – of your dreams, you will.

Teachers of the Law also recommend that you focus on what you do want, instead of focusing on what you don’t. For example, focus on being healthy instead of focusing on not being sick. Focus on being wealthy, instead of simply on not being poor.

This is important because – here’s one of the key teachings of the Law - if you think the wrong thoughts, or just fail to think the right ones, you end up attracting bad things into your life. Negative thinking will attract negative outcomes. If you believe you’re going to fail, you’re going to fail. If you think all of your relationships are going to go bad, guess what, you’ll attract bad relationships into your life.

And this leads to some of the most controversial aspects of the Law of Attraction.

Say you got hit by a drunk driver on the way home from work. According to the Law of Attraction, you attracted that into your life.

Say your house was destroyed by a hurricane or earthquake. The Law of Attraction says – you deserved it. You’re responsible.

Skeptics say that the theory of the Law of Attraction falls apart when applied to real-life cases like the above, proving that it can’t be the great hidden “Secret” governing the universe.

But tell us what you believe! Law of attraction. Truth or fantasy? Are you a believer or a skeptic? Leave you comments below.
- Taking Action -Day 2 Self Improvement Bootcamp
https://www.selfgrowth.com/blog/bootcamp2.html Video: https://www.selfgrowth.com/blog/bootcamp2.html

Related Infromation:
This bootcamp is designed to help you gain insight into who you are, and help you determine the best approach to improve your life.

Summary:

Today, we are going to cover an equally important area, the importance of Taking Action.

Action, or better yet Taking Action is critical for a successful life.

Dr. Phil on his TV show says that “Life Rewards Action.” That’s actually one of his life rules.

Tony Robbins frequently says that we should: “Take Massive Action.”

And One of my favorite quotes comes from Will Rogers, who used to say that “Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there”. One thing that you’ll find out about me very quickly is that I love to use quotes to Motivate myself. I hope they motivate you as well.

But, there’s a big challenge with Taking Action, and probably all of the steps to success. Everybody knows you have to take action to get things done. That’s no secret. So we all know it, but most of us don’t do it.

We all know that we have to exercise regularly to stay in shape, but most of us don’t do it. I want to share with you an unbelievable number. Federal statistics say about 60 percent of American adults are not regularly active, and about 25 percent are not active at all. They don’t do anything at all.

Think about it. We all know that if we read more, we’ll learn more, but we don’t do it. We know that we need to take action, but we’re not doing it. Why not?

Here is another quote that I use for personal motivation. It’s from Dale Carnegie. He said that: “The man who goes farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare. The sure-thing boat never gets far from shore.”

Take Action!
- Desire - Self Improvement Bootcamp - Day 3
https://www.selfgrowth.com/blog/bootcamp3.html Video: https://www.selfgrowth.com/blog/bootcamp3.html

Related Infromation:
This bootcamp is designed to help you gain insight into who you are, and help you determine the best approach to improve your life.

Click here to view the entire series

Summary:

In Day 2, we learned about the importance of Taking Action. Today, we are going to cover an equally important area - The Importance of Desire)
the importance of Desire.

Napoleon Hill said that “Desire is the starting point of all achievement.”

A lot of say they don't have desires, but I am a strong believer that almost every single one of us has desires. Sometimes it’s a desire to get something or to stop something. It’s at different levels, but we all have them.

In order to be successful, It’s critical to get in touch with or really understand you desires.

You can start by Asking yourself what do you want? Do you want to be loved? Do you want to be respected?
Do you want to have control of your life?

Think about what you love to do.
What do you really want to do with your life? What motivates you?
What inspires you? What excites You? What drives You? What has given me the most pleasure in the past?

One common suggestion for getting in touch with you life’s desires and dreams is to actually Picture yourself at the end of your life. Some people recommend picturing yourself at your funeral listening to your eulogy.

How exactly do you want to be remembered? What type of person and what type of life do you want to be remembered for having?

I also recommend trying to focus on identifying your core desire. A Core Desire is something you want so badly it pierces you to the core of your heart. That’s desire.

I want to finish this section with one final quote from Muhammad Ali. He said that “Champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them—a desire, a dream, a vision.”

I hope you are enjoying the bootcamp - See you on on Day 4!
