Loren John Presley was diagnosed with Autism at age fourteen.
He lives in Bakersfield California where he is the head of an Autism support group called "Unique Perspectives." He has heard and experienced many other cases with people who have been affected by Autism, and his personal mission is to give insight and guidance to those affected by this neurological epidemic. Presley is a published author who writes to heal and give courage, and to take readers on a ride into his imagination. His book, The Anastasia Project , tells of his journey through chronic depression metaphorically through a story that gives hope and makes people young.
Presley seeks to stand for what those on the Autistc spectrum can accomplish when given the right support and intervention: aside from writing, Presley also builds robots, composes music, and illustrates his books. He has directed short films that teach social skills to those on the autistic spectrum. He is pursuing a career in film and animation.
"Autism can lead to deep disappointments, many of which I know can overwhelm families. In my experience, I know never to despair. Hope endures always, and it comes to those especially who fight for it..."
