With over 25 years of experience Julie Hernandez brings a vast knowledge base in several industries and well-rounded business acumen. Early in her career a gift for public relations was discovered; she became a multiple pageant title holder, model and spokesperson as well as a cable television show hostess in Long Beach, CA. Julie founded and served as president of what would become a nationally recognized animal rescue. Her foresight when requesting non-profit status created several sub-divisions of her corporation; a program designed to raise Pit Bull puppies as therapy dogs for children with autism (BullNannies); a program to place senior dogs with retired individuals at reduced adoption fees, if any (Rescue Retirement); an online auction site (Bow Wow Bid Now); a retail store (Bones & Scones featuring Beauregard Stubbs' products - a collaboration with her business partner) that created a profit center to fund the non-profit activities. Co-authored and was ghost writer for Chapter 12 of "Small Businesses Give Big."
Most recently responsible for the collaboration and inception Shorty's Charities with Shorty Rossi, she serves in the corporate officer position of Secretary. Her "A Dog A Day Campaign" has received accolades and national media attention.
Mother to three children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, she resigned from her full time sales career to become advocate, therapist and full time mom. Despite their father divorcing her, she has designed her business as a non-profit consultant around her "family first" lifestyle to be a present and involved parent to her teenage twins as well as managing her youngest son's successful modeling career.
