CAROLYNN CRABTREE, Co-founder, President
Carolynn grew up living overseas, predominantly in Europe, until attending Princeton University. From Carolynn’s careers in marketing and sales at Christie’s Auction House to her work at the Central Intelligence Agency, she brings a strong sense not only of how to craft a sophisticated online footprint, but also how individuals such as admissions officers and employers, use online information to form perceptions about individuals. Carolynn is passionate about working with teens and sharing her expertise on how a student’s online presence may hurt or help them succeed. She is motivated to educate students who otherwise are not receiving this information or end up getting it too late. She also conducts alumni admission interviews for Princeton applicants and is excited to be working with teenagers, as this has been a lifelong goal for her. Her international educational experience lends itself to a unique understanding of how best to portray experiences online to catch the eye of a prospective college.
VIRTUAL WORKSHOP
Cornerstone’s virtual workshop teaches students how to manage their online reputation. Students will complete the workshop inspired to take ownership and responsibility over their online footprint, and with the skill set required to do so.
The workshop is ideally suited for students in high school and college. It takes approximately two hours in total.
Designed to be segmented into a series of homework assignments and classroom sessions, the workshop consists of modules with lessons on:
Online Reputation Management (ORM) Basics
Privacy guidance on major social media platforms
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for students
Analysis of Cornerstone’s unique research
Each module concludes with a quiz, to ensure that the key points are highlighted and retained by students. Additionally, everyone who completes the course leaves with a strategy called their ‘Personalized Content Plan.’ This will guide students, beyond the course, to ensure that they have a path forward along the way to a positive online presence.

Bring Cornerstone to your school for dynamic, interactive, age-appropriate, and humorous (if we do say so ourselves!) presentations. Not only is online reputation management a critical skill in today’s interconnected world, but it is also one of the best ways to minimize risks to the school associated with poor student behavior online
We are happy to tailor our presentation topics to whatever best fits the audience. Our past presentations have covered:
The findings of Cornerstone’s Undergraduate Admissions Officer and Coaches Surveys
When, how and why recruiters are searching applicants online
The myth of online anonymity
The reality that recruiters are impacted by the content they discover
What students can do to highlight their strengths and talents online
How students can make their positive content easily discoverable
Combine the presentation series with our virtual workshop to inspire students and get them started taking control of their online reputation, leading them down the road to a smarter, safer behavior online.
