Are You Experiencing Abundance?

I’ve never met anyone in my entire life who doesn’t want abundance. It’s a normal, human desire to desire abundance and want to live in abundance. What is abundance? According to Webster it is having plenty, more than a sufficient quantity, wealth. So it’s a given – we all want it!

Yet so often it eludes us and we don’t understand why. Perhaps you do affirmations and say the right words but alas, it never comes, or if it comes it doesn’t stick around for the long haul. I remember experiencing this dilemma some years back and have often been given experiences since then to see what I’ve learned. As ahuman being, I realize, like you, I need to be reminded of what abundance is and how to have it continuously.

The world is a mess right now – that’s another definite. No one knows what will happen next in our economy, or with job losses, or the real estate market, but we all know there is chaos right now. Predictions have been made and sadly, many false claims stating we’re on the rebound, yet the externals in our lives do not share that claim. So how can anyone feel abundant when they’ve lost their job, lost their house, lost their savings or retirement, and are experiencing what feels like a dismal reality of their life?

Abundance has nothing to do with what’s going on around you, it only has to do with what’s going on within you. The universe is an abundant place, full of overflowing resources available to everyone. But what happens when apparent disaster hits a person’s life? Panic erupts and thinking is clouded with the negative emotions that often invade the person’s thoughts. Justifiable, right? After all, if you’ve lost a job or house the real situation is happening and you are scrounging for cash to survive. Maybe your situation isn’t as bad as that; perhaps it’s simply a time to regroup, tighten your belt, and watch what you spend. However, could disaster be around the corner for you?

I mentioned earlier that abundance is an inside job, so let me explain. When you don’t feel abundant and are focusing on all the “stuff” that’s going on around you, that is a negative. Negatives can only create more of the same negative experiences because energy only flows with the same vibration. So as long as you think about your loss of money, job, house, or anything to do with less or not enough, you will continue to experience those things in your life. Maybe you have a lesson to learn or maybe you need to become resourceful with what you have inside of you. Either way it is a gift and you will grow stronger as you step on the other side of the situation.

However, let’s look at the way you want to experience your life. If you focus on what you want and say “thank you” to God for all you already have, even when you’ve just lost a job, house or retirement funds, you are aligned with positive thoughts. Positive, high energy thoughts can only create more of the same, which is simply abundance. Now as humans it is really hard to feel positive when your world seems to be crashing down around you, but I can promise you it is the only way to change your circumstances into what you want,the only way! Besides, even if you have lost a home, job or retirement fund, you still have many blessings, the only ones that really count: spouse, children, parents, love, internal gifts and talents, and the ability to create something better.

I tried getting into abundance so many times over the last dozen or so years, but it wasn’t until I looked around me at what I had and became thankful for all of it, that more showed up in my life. And sometimes I had to let go of things I thought I wanted to hang on to, but once I let go and became grateful for what I still had, better things showed up, many times in the form of miracles!

There are many ways to help you create abundance in your life, but it all begins inside of you by creating an attitude and aptitude of abundance. Mind you, it must be genuine, because God and the universe knows if you’re pretending in any way, and then it won’t work. So if you’ve tried attracting abundance before and it hasn’t worked for you, there is a block or belief of some kind that has stopped more abundance from reaching you. This block is because of fear and it is expressed in a negative way. You have to believe it in your heart and know that whatever you ask for is already on the way the minute you think the thought or speak the words. Belief comes from love expressed, nothing more, nothing less. So all that blocks it from reaching you is you!

Look at your life and see where abundance is lacking. Is it in your bank account, your relationships, your career, your spiritual connection, your health or your heart? Something is out of whack inside of you if this is the case. Release it and bring in new thoughts of abundance and watch what happens. Remember, abundance thoughts come from loving thoughts, thoughts that are expressed through gratitude for all you presently have and are. It doesn’t mean it will change overnight – it took more than overnight to get in the place where you are – but things will begin shifting immediately if you are sincere.

What’s the positive outcome for you? You’ll feel happier, lighter, more creative, more energized and probably sleep more restfully. The sun may even seem to shine brighter. New ideas may pop in and new opportunities arise. You may be surprised how much better you feel even though the “stuff” going on around you hasn’t really changed as yet; it’s you who has changed.

February is the month in which we focus on love. Focusing on love can bring you the desires of your heart. If you want abundance in one or all aspects of your life, put love in your heart and watch it all unfold for you!
