I am experienced in materials and their behaviour in various environments. Hydrogen affects materials in many adverse ways and my research for the last 40 years comcerns methods of prevention of deleterious effects of hydrogen in structural materials. In a hydrogen economy, large scale production, storage and transportation hydrogen will be needed for which we need safe materials.
Hydrogen as a source of inexhaustable power, and as an energy carrier in automobiles, is expected to play a major role in replacing the polluting fossil fuels. Use of hydrogen along with other renewable sources like solar, wind, and ocean will mitigate globalwarming and its consequences, and thus will constitute a very 'green' way of life. Details may be read at my blog http://gblogger-hydrogeneconomy/blogspot.com/
