Begin your Life Journey with "The Ultimate Plan"
Nicole B. Simpson is a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner with almost 17 years of experience in the securities industry. As a financial professional with an extensive operational background, she specializes in comprehensive financial planning, including disaster recovery from unanticipated life events. Simpson also specializes in evaluating insurance needs, assessing financial vulnerabilities, and estate planning. She is one of only 500 African American CFP® certificants out of the 50,000-plus worldwide, according to the College for Financial Planners Board of Standards.
Nicole is a World Trade Center survivor who compassionately assists families on how to begin to walk along the road to recovery when faced with a catastrophic, unexpected disaster. She is actively involved in economic empowerment and developing a life plan in the penal system, community based organizations, and the educational systems. A compelling motivational speaker, television and radio personality and author, Ms. Simpson travels throughout the United States teaching in a practical and easy to understand manner. Her simple approach motivates everyone who hears her message to take action to change their financial future. Her commitment is to engage people with the thought, “If money were not an issue, what would be your life’s purpose?”
As a motivational speaker, she has a very unique perspective that she brings to the traditional audience because as a comprehensive financial planner, she knows what steps are required to become financially free. However, like most individuals, she has suffered unexpected, significant personal tragedy that affected her entire family emotionally and financially. What is critical, but often avoided, is the experience of how to overcome unexpected disasters that can stagnate one’s personal life because of a crisis. “How does one pick up the pieces of their life and move toward their ordained purpose?” She can answer those questions and put into perspective the necessary steps to begin the recovery process.
In 2003, she published her first book, “Planning for a Reason, a Season, and a Lifetime” (1stBooks Library), where she drew upon her experience as a World Trade Center survivor, mother, and wife in order to encourage readers to take control of their finances and prepare for unexpected events. In 2008 Simpson released her second book, “The Ultimate Plan: A Financial Survival Guide for Life’s Unexpected Events” (Tate Publishing), a revised and updated edition of her first book that focuses more on disaster planning. Along with the book, Simpson has developed corresponding workshops designed to assist individuals with the necessary steps to ensure financial and emotional stability during difficult times in their lives.
Simpson is a highly sought after speaker and has shared her expertise with many organizations. Several past clients include Fordam University, Rutgers University, Johnson & Johnson, Bishop TD Jakes MegaFEST, The Black Church Means Business Conference, PSE&G Minority Exchange Regional Conference, Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women and Columbia University. She has been a guest on television, radio and in magazines such as Black Enterprise Magazine, Money Matters with Lyn Doyle, Keeping it Real With Rev. Al Sharpton, and Comcast Newsmakers. Finally, she is a contributing writer for two national publications I Am Magazine and PrisonWorld Magazine.
Nicole B. Simpson resides in Union County, NJ with her husband and two children.
