I have had a varied if not unusual career path starting as a programmer/analyst with a Fortune 50 steel company, followed by a stint with a major union employee benefit organization where I was Computer Operations Manager.
After years of learning the employee benefits business and dealing with unions, computers and numerous company officials, I found myself Director of HR and Benefits for a large Fortune 100 company and 12 years later a similar position with yet another Fortune 100 company. The years with these companies placed me in numerous situations dealing with executives on a myriad of organizational and employee related functional areas.
I had an unfortunate period of serious illness that caused me to retire early and after a number of years, I beat the odds and regained my health.
I tired of retirement, you can only hit so many golf balls, and was drawn to coaching and realized that my business experience, which was considerable, made business coaching a good choice. Always interested in people and a voracious reader, when I was well enough, I had gone back to my business magazines and purchased current text books to stay sharp on current events, business trends and techniques and the who's who of business personalities. Human Resources continued to be very much in my primary interests.
I attended six months of schooling to gain my coaching certification and during that time established a business, Executive Coach Now. In time, I found the executive coaching business interesting but much too slow paced. Too much spending advertising money and chasing clients. I had acquired my Masters in Business Coaching during what turned out to be a transition. I still maintain Executive Coach Now but have taken a business interest in another area that I had considerable years of experience with, namely recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and performance reporting. At Resume Pro Now LLC we focus on developing resumes and cover letters which are at the core of all job seekers and job recruiters activity.
This has proved to be a much more active, easier to market and vitally needed service to a large and varied population.
I am seeking to align myself with other(s) persons who are in the same type of business. In addition to the preparation of resumes and cover letters, I also offer my business coaching services to people who feel inadequate to the interviewing process, or have other career concerns, by instructing them on questions/ answers/relaxation methods and conducting mock interview sessions. I presently offer a half hour of free consulting to all my resume clients as an incentive to use our services. Our fees are very competitive, our work is professional and clients get a free half hour of coaching.

"Tighten up the Mission" before you have to retreat. My Business motto
We need people in our lives with whom we can be as open as possible. To have real conversation with people may seem like such a simple, obvious suggestion, but it involves courage and risk.----Thomas Moore
"Meditation helps me feel the shape, the texture of my inner life. Here, in the quiet, I can begin to taste what Buddhists would call my true nature, what Jews call the still, small voice, what Christians call the holy spirit." -- Wayne Muller
