Marjorie Brook
Internationally recognized expert in Active Isolated Stretching, creator of
Scar Tissue Release therapy, and the founder of Brook Seminars. In 1994, after an unfulfilling career in broadcasting (which ranged from PBS to ABC News), Marjorie chose a more rewarding path tomake a difference on a more personal level and she started her career in Massage Therapy.
Through her company Brook Seminars, Marjorie teaches her techniques Internationally, offering continuing education courses in Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) and Strengthening, Scar TissueRelease, and Body Mechanics. As a keynote speaker she evokes her audience to stretching their body and mind as one to reach outside there own limits without boundaries and attain both physical and emotional balance.
Marjorie Brook is a Nationally Certified, New York State Licensed Massage Therapist. She is an Advanced Active Isolated Stretching Practitioner and creator of Scar Tissue Release Therapy. Marjorie is certified in Soft Tissue Release, Myofascial Release, Paraffin Wax Therapy and is an Infant Massage Instructor. She is also a Reiki Practitioner and a certified Personal Trainer.

She has appeared on News 12 as well as the TELECARE Channel demonstrating the techniques and discussing the benefits of both Massage and Infant Massage. Marjorie was on staff at South Nassau Communities Hospital as an instructor for eight years and taught for several Adult Education Programs. Her private massage practice, a Kneaded break, caters to both healthy and special needs adults and children.
Marjorie is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing educational provider. She meets current standards for continuing education for both the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the State of Florida and is approved by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC) to provide continuing education for Athletic trainers.Marjorie is currently working on a series of comprehensive guides and DVDs for body balancing with stretching & strengthening featuring AIS protocols, which are expected to be published/released in late 2010. They present the material in an easy user-friendly format. Marjorie’s exclusive "Scar Tissue Release technique" which she has developed compliments her Active Isolated Stretching programs and will be published and available on DVD shortly after.
When not working in her private practice or speaking/teaching on location Marjorie enjoys kick boxing, ball room dancing, hiking and kayaking with her husband and she says there is nothing better than just spending time with my dogs.
