Brandi Jasmine Quick Facts

Brandi Jasmine, Astrology.ca's head writer and editor-in-chief, spent many years as an intuitive consultant, palmist and Astrologer in her native Vancouver, British Columbia. In that time she gained respect and recognition from peers, clients and skeptics alike, for her "no-nonsense" practical approach to matters mystic and mundane, and for writing the book Living With Your Psychic Gifts . In the early 90's, she decided to move to Toronto Ontario. She wanted to get more grounded, to pursue a career as a writer and artist, and quickly made a name for herself as a technical writer in such publications as The Toronto Star, Toronto Computes!, and was nominated for a Canadian Magazine award for an Internet article called "Needle in a Haystack". 

In the late 80's Toronto lacked the cohesive "community" of like-minded thinkers so readily available in Vancouver, so Brandi turned to BBSs and the emerging "Internet" to seek for fellow travelers. As her writing career grew, so did her connection to the Internet. She was hired by the ComputerLink BBS, where she had volunteered as a forum moderator. The topic was astrology, and that forum's evolution to become Astrology.ca makes it one of the longest-running online astrological forums online. ComputerLink grew rapidly and eventually became one of Canada's largest Internet Service Providers, Internet Direct (now called Look Communications Inc. ), where she worked until December 2000 as a content producer for the portal site, " LOOKTown ". Brandi also maintains her own art gallery site , and is available for web content consultations and freelance writing assignments .
