My name is Ami Grace and I am a licensed therapist and coach. I am from Marin County, California and completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from Fresno State University and have had the unique opportunity to live and work on the central coast in San Luis Obispo, CA. I have worked at the Women's Shelter Program as a therapist with traumatized women and children, was a social worker for foster children and families, and have provided school-based counseling. I also taught at Allan Hancock College in the Human Services Department and at Cal Poly where I taught adolescent psychology, child development, lifespan psychology, and a family therapy courses. I have been married and divorced and am the proud single mother to my intelligent and beautiful six-year old daughter. Through my own divorce and custody battles I offer a unique and experienced approach to divorce, custody and co-parenting coaching. I also help individuals transition through their loss and to find their inner strength and hope for love again by learning how to date and how to attract the right partner in life.
I am a counselor and coach who specializes in divorce adjustment, custody and co-parenting issues, and dating. I help individuals transition through the divorce process with as much peace, dignity, and integrity. Divorce can be rough, especially with a difficult ex that you share a child and co-parent with. I help clients navigate the balance between single parenthood, custody/co-parenting challenges, and dating issues. Divorce can be a stressful time and trigger feelings of sadness, loss, hopelessness and lonliness. You may wonder if you are doing the right thing or if you should stay in the relationship because of your children. I can help you find the answers to these difficult questions and help you find certainty, peace and strength.
I am available for individual or phone counseling/coaching and provide a special offer if more than three sessions are purchased at the same time. I offer empowerment workshops in the summer and am excited for this opportunity to help reach many women who want to grow, heal, and find their inner strength.
