I have been involved in traditional martial artist for 30 years. My enjoyment now a days is developing new programs, which emphasis the knowledge of martial arts masters. Inspire age old values of personal growth to benefit team building seminars. Or just teaching and training with long time students.
Teaching and training martial arts with great positive people without ego. We teach and train with five instructors. Shotokan Karate, Aikido, Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, Iaido Shaolin Kung Fu and MMA with all the styles at once....
Some students train just one martail art, other students train all of the above martial arts.
my latest program development has been very fun and even exciting. Women's and kids self defense seminars and classes. My partner in these seminars is a local cop named Donavan. Big D or Donavan has really designed a very easy way to teach life saving self defense. Without making the techniques requiring ten years of martial arts training first. I enjoy training hour after hour of martial arts techniques, but most people do not have the same interest level. So Donavan helped develop our self defense seminars using only simply technques and maxing out the leverage to allow smaller and less skilled people defend themselfs from bullies and bad guys.
I still think training all week every week is the best way to prepare for the worst possible situation. But I see the actions of the women and even the young children striking and defending themselfs with Donavan's and my techniques successfully in safe sparring sessions.
So my main point is I love to train. But most people do not enjoy training daily martial arts lessons. But everyone can still learn how to protect themselfs too....
