Very briefly and simply about what prevents us from enjoying life.

Why can't we taste life?

Imagine you are eating an apple. But watch the movie. When your attention is focused on the storyline, you stop feeling the taste of the apple being eaten. And here in your hands is a stub from an apple, but there is no moral satisfaction from enjoying the taste of a ripe fruit. Because there was an automatic action.

Now pay attention to your posture. How do you sit? 99% of people reading this post are sitting, posing as a question mark. Why? Because your attention is occupied by this text or your gadget.

The "Hunter" method has a golden rule:

WE ARE DEVELOPING ONLY IN THE DIRECTION TO WHICH OUR ATTENTION IS RIGHTED.

Why can't we taste life? Because life is a permanently transforming moment of the present, closed on itself. And it is in this moment that our attention is never present. Thanks to the developed abstract thinking, we got the opportunity to go far away from the "here and now". And we actively abuse it.

How to get yourself back to the current moment?

It's easy if you understand the reason for your absence in the current moment. Everything is important to us, except for what we have now. Our priority is usually somewhere in the future, which does not exist. All our lives we have been running after a ghost that we cannot catch up with. How can you feel satisfied in such a situation?

To taste an apple, you need to appreciate it. It is important to understand that the present moment is the only thing we have. And the more deeply you grasp this idea, the more the priority shift occurs, until, in the end, you proclaim:

THE MOST IMPORTANT WHAT HAPPENS TO ME IS HAPPENING CURRENTLY.

And this is the first rule of psychoregulation (the third stage of the "Hunter" method). As soon as you manage to shift your interests towards the "here and now", your unconscious immediately responds with a feeling of complete satisfaction. I call this state of spiritual satiety. You feel the taste of life because you realize that you already have everything you need.
