People seem to think happiness is hard to achieve. It is simple when you know what to do. This article shows you in three easy steps how to achieve happiness and the success that comes along with it.

We all have heard that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Yet, day after day, year after year, we do the same things and wonder why nothing changes in our lives.

Are you ready to do something different so you can have something different? If you are, then these three steps will turn you in the direction of happiness. These three steps will turn your life in the direction of having what you have been seeking.

Catch Yourself in the Act Catch yourself in the act simply means to watch yourself, and see what you're doing to yourself. Catch yourself in the act means to see that you are reacting automatically to what happens in your world. It is seeing that your automatic reactions are often negative. You get angry. You get sad. You get scared. It all happens in a flash and you don't notice yourself doing it. You react from habit to what happens in your life. You freak out. You flip out.

Ask "How Does This Help Me?" The next step in the direction of changing your life, of making your life happy and having the things you want is to ask, "How does this help me?" You catch yourself in the act of anger or rage. Ask, "How does this help me?" You ask yourself, how does it solve anything for me to go off on someone? You ask yourself, how does it help me to go off on myself? How does raging help me feel better? You ask yourself, does getting sad, does getting in the doldrums make me feel better? Is it a real solution to make things better? Or does it just add to making things worse? You ask yourself, does getting scared make anything better? Does getting scared about what is happening in my body somehow make it better? Does getting scared about money help me find a way to financial abundance? Does getting scared make me happy?

Do Something Different Check and see if the following statement doesn't make a lot of sense? To have something different, you have to do something different. Now a lot of the time we may wonder, "Okay, I see that, but what do I do? I'm willing to do something different. What is it?" The first step in the direction of happiness is to end what you are doing instantly, as soon as you see it. So, you see yourself freaking out. Stop it. End it. Right there on the spot. The feelings are yours. They belong to you. You can end them anytime you decide to end them. To get control of your life, get control of your feelings. To have a different future, do something different. As soon as you see any negative reaction, just end it on the spot. You can do it. It is your feeling. Decide to end it before it takes you down.
