Intent is defined in the dictionary as: firmly or steadfastly fixed or directed. As I began to think about what my first blog was going to be, I decided to ask my twelve year old son what the intent was for his life. He said, "I want to fall in love when I get older, get married and have a job that I love so much that I don't even feel like I'm at work." His intent for today is, "To sell as many golf balls and chocolate chip cookies as possible at the golf course."

What a thought! I love the new generation that is emerging. They operate at a completely different level within themselves. They offer and believe in goodness. Their intentions are so clean and simple. Who they are is so much more open and aware of life around than I ever remember being. One reason I love being with my two boys so much is that they refresh my spirit. I learn more from them than anywhere else.

Life in this time of chaos around our world is challenging. Everyone is dealing with it on different levels. I believe it is an even more important reason for us all to have intentions and to proclaim them--to ourselves and others. We need to be uplifters, to be honest, and to be child-like in our thinking and actions.

At times like this we have so much to give--our love, kindness and our hope. We can reach out to others and give of ourselves, something we may have gotten away from in years past. We can give the beauty of our intents and our hearts. We can be the change we want to see in the world if we come from a place of purity. That is my hope and prayer for all of us.
