None of us likes to admit it although that at times we compare ourselves to others. This habit of comparing ourselves to others is usually a negative trait. We have a tendency to overlook our own incredible accomplishments and mistakenly believe others are in some ways more fortunate…, more successful…, more educated… etc.

Honestly, each time we compare ourselves to others in a negative way we are also selling ourselves short. If we aren’t willing to achieve our own goals, or don’t believe our goals are realistic or possible, how are they supposed to manifest? A much better way of comparing ourselves to others is by looking at things positively. Instead of blaming, shaming or accusing ourselves of being inadequate in some way, why not begin to see things such as, “If they can achieve their goals, so can I!” Or another consideration might be, “If I speak or work with this particular person, perhaps they can share knowledge, resources, or help me in a supportive way towards achieving my own goals.”

When we look optimistically at others and their positive accomplishments this approach helps us to feel empowered. Admiring others for their good work, successful endeavors and achievements fosters good will and good relations. By shifting our perspective from I can’t to “I can” allows for goodness to begin to appear within our own lives. It also demonstrates things we may not have fully considered which are possible and available for us too. When we align ourselves in positive comparison with others we are also relating to being motivated by others instead of envious or resentful of them.

Success is easily available to everyone although most of us may not see this for ourselves. In truth the only difference between a successful person and someone who believes they are unsuccessful is their attitude . Folks are either inspired to succeed or intimidated to begin. If someone believes they are successful, they are. Same is true for the person who views themself as attractive, pleasant, and capable. Their positive association becomes their reality. So if a person is determined and strongly declares, “Nothing and no one is going to stop or prevent me from accomplishing my goal,” that is exactly what they are intending to experience. Folks with a precise vision and an unshakable focus will always achieve their goals. So these folks are actually visionaries and guides to help us learn to model their level of persistence and determination. They are goal setters and go-getters.

A good attitude , realistic goals, persistence and quality support systems are always beneficial to everyone in regards to achieving goals and being successful. Keeping focused on the goal and utilizing gentle reminders and positive reward systems are also helpful towards achieving even greater levels of success. Learning to hold in mind the end result in a positive, can-do manner, will always help each of us to do what is required until the goal is completed. Also take time to be in gratitude of your own efforts. Be willing to thank others for sharing their gifts and amazing contributions also helps move you towards being even more successful.

Remember, “How we do anything is how we do everything,” which is the law of attraction . Meaning positive attracts positive and negative attracts negative. See yourself at the finish line! Be willing to show up and join the ranks as a successful person or an even more successful person than you are currently experiencing. Trust no one can do this for you. Making the decision to be successful is an important step in any goals process. Choose to make “SUCCESS” a priority in your life. Be willing to accept help along the way. Be willing to try new things. Be willing to follow-up and keep going. Remember to gently motivate yourself and also to realistically reward yourself for your own progress. By choosing to step out of your comfort zone a little more each day, allows you to create a better life. Learn to be a good friend and a positive life coach for yourself. Believe your goals are worth achieving. Believe you are the right person to attain your goals. Believe now is the right time for the goal to be successfully accomplished. And most importantly, be willing to enjoy all of the abundance and successes that show up in all of the many ways that abundance exists. Give yourself frequent pats on the back for moving forward and continuing to do a good job. Begin each day believing “I can” achieve my goals.

Notice when we stopped comparing ourselves to others in a negative way, our own creative energy emerged and helped propel us to move forward. Stop comparing yourself in a negative way and do start experiencing success more and more each day! Try it, you’ll like it!
