But how many acts of kindness do you carry out on a daily basis?

Sharing kindness and helping others are acts that not only make others feel good but also make you feel good.

We’re all searching for happiness in life

No matter what we do in terms of our careers, interests, hobbies, and relationships our ultimate goal is to be happy.

However, through regularly practicing small acts of kindness the gateway to happiness will open out before you.

Here are some thoughtful gestures or simple acts of kindness you can do during your day…

1. Tell your partner, your children, your parents and your siblings how much you love and appreciate them.
2. Donate some money anonymously to a local charity or voluntary organization
3. Mow your neighbor’s lawn
4. Offer to carry the groceries for an elderly person
5. Take out your neighbor’s rubbish bin for collection.
6. Hold a door open for strangers
7. Drive to pick up a stranded friend
8. Tell the cashier at the local store to ‘have a great day’.
9. Offer someone your seat on a crowded train or bus.
10. Pick up someone else’s rubbish on the road and drop it in the bin
11. Leave a generous tip for a pleasant and helpful waiter
12. Tell your partner how beautiful they look
13. Buy a thank you gift for a close and devoted friend.
14. Stop and help someone push their broken down car to the side of the road.
15. Let someone jump in front of you in a cue when you sense they’re in a rush
16. Give generously to a ‘busker/street musician.
17. Buy a coffee for the ‘Big Issue’ seller on the high street.
18. Give up your parking spot to another driver.
19. Treat you friend to a nice lunch.
20. Call a friend who’s going through a tough time.
21. Make your partner or family member their favorite meal.
22. Help your friend move house.
23. Send a letter of appreciation to a person who helped earlier in life
24. Inspire someone to go after their goals.
25. Leave a thank you note for a loved one
26. Offer help and encouragement to someone who’s down and despondent
27. Bring breakfast to a loved one in bed
28. Sponsor an animal for a small amount of money each month
29. Give all your old clothes to charity .
30. Sign up and become an organ donor
31. Listen intently to anyone who’s troubled and needs to be heard
32. Thank the shop assistant for their help and advice
33. Call a friend or relative you haven’t spoken to for a while
34. Return a stray supermarket trolley to the trolley bay

This list is by no means exhaustive, but it will give you some ideas of how you can make a difference.

Acts of kindness to others however small, enriches yours and everyone else’s life and makes the world a much better place to live in.

Remember, making a difference to someone else is life will inevitably make a difference to yours.
