“Creating” (allowing) miracles requires willingness and faith ; however, I must confess, most miracles have their roots in desperation.
Let’s be real. We spin around, not thinking clearly so much of the time. If we don’t “hit the wall,” we don’t work on improving things. That method doesn’t have to be necessary, but it is typical.
As I matured, my life evolved. I was no longer experiencing significant disappointments since I gave up my intense agendas. I was no longer a victim because I gave up blaming others for my circumstances. I learned not to judge others harshly because:
“We can rise no higher than our lowest estimation of another.”
I no longer sabotaged myself by looking down on those who didn’t see through my perspective. I stopped trying to convince people that I was right because I learned that it was a complete waste of time. I was clear that I live in a world of my own creation.
Our main task in this lifetime, as I now see it, is to change the building blocks of our world from fear-based thoughts to a consciousness of love, trust and forgiveness. I learned that a formula for a perfect life would be Gratitude, Forgiveness , and Surrender to Love. These would counteract the formula for failure: criticism, complaint, blame, judgmentalism, resentment and fear.
When we lose friends or gain friends, we think it is about them. It is an attraction or repelling based upon the frequency we are living. As we go through life, especially if we allow ourselves to grow, our “frequency or vibration” changes. Yes, everyone has a frequency. Judgmental as we all seem to be, we meet a person and put him/her in a box with other people “like them.”
When we leave the planet at the end of our days here, we don’t bring our material body, we bring our energetic signature, imprint or frequency. These vibes, now and hereafter, are discernible by others; and as a result, the people we attract into our lives are there because of a resonance of frequency with which they are comfortable. Change the frequency and a shift occurs. People will either adore you for your growth or run from the brightness of the light and head back to the imagined safety of the known—the past where they can hide in the shadows.
We all need to move through changes. Life forces it and that’s how we all grow. Don’t feel abandoned, feel blessed and expect the same to be true for those you loved who have gone their separate ways. Remember, we are all One, at all times, always. You, nor they, are ever alone or separate.
All of us, at one time or other, feel a strong desire for ‘peace instead of this’ as explained in A Course in Miracles .
It is our futility that brings us face to face with reality.
Oh, we may ask for peace
, but will we pay the price? Remember what Blaise Pascal said:
‘All of a man’s problems come from not being able to stay alone in a room by himself.’
“We are addicts—all of us! I can tell you your addiction by what you do when you are alone, even for one minute sometimes. When people these days have to wait for a minute, they pick up the cell phone to fill the ‘air time.’ Many rush to a bottle, a cigarette or a drug. Others make jokes to get appreciation and favorable response. Others play on Facebook or Twitter. Many text foolishness to other addicted friends or play silly computer games. Few remain still and breathe in the peacefulness that stillness offers.
The void created by stillness is open to receive wisdom and inspiration .
Yes, I know what people are thinking when I say this: ‘If you expect me to stand around doing nothing, this teaching isn’t for me.’
No, dear friend, my life is very full, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have time to be quiet and feel the serenity, the energy of love surrounding me. What I have done successfully through my life has been to prioritize my values. I make a keen effort to be certain that my motives reflect love and that my activities are based upon my highest sense of spiritual thought, not my need to be thought of as right. I choose a path based upon ‘ walking my talk.’
The heart of any successful program is its integrity.
Your joy will come from knowing who you really are and by moving in the direction of your highest dreams .
