Negativity hurts. Have you ever had the experience where everything was fine, you're in a great mood and have great intentions for a certain event that is about to happen. Suddenly, something happens, and it's like a troll has jumped up from under the bridge and dragging you down into its anger, sadness, irritability, dread or depression . What happened? You've been triggered. Something in your outside world just triggered those feelings within you that sucked all the enthusiasm and joy out of you. How do we keep this ugly troll from ruining your wonderful moods, great intentions and high vibrations?

First, you can't have a reaction to something in your outer world unless you are carrying the same energy within you. If someone is demanding and it makes you angry, look within to see how you are demanding. It might not be comfortable and it requires a good deal of honesty, but search and find it. It is human nature to deny what we don't want to see in ourselves. When we refuse to see a bad quality and repress it, we will then project it into the outer world. Everyone or every situation that exhibits that same quality will be particularly bothersome. You'll react and the troll will drag you into its lair. This is a good thing actually because the world is reflecting back to you the parts of you that you need to heal.

So, now you are aware of the issue, the healing and clearing comes next. To heal and clear your own negativity so you can stop projecting it out into the world, you need to use your awareness again. When you notice the negative charge coming up in you, don't get mad at it or try to push it away. It's our instinct to resist and push away what we don't want, but that's how it got suppressed in the first place. This time, when you notice it, accept the feeling and allow it to be instead of rejecting it. Love heals; resistance causes stress and actually gives the negativity more power. So, recognize it, allow it to be and then ask the spiritual part of you (God, the Universe, Goddess, Higher Self - whatever you call this part of you) to heal it.
Here is an example. Let's say controlling people anger you. When you feel controlled, or even when you see it happening to someone else through another person or the media, you react with anger. You just can't stand it when people, governments, or whatever it is tries to control and dictate what is right and manipulates or forces you to do their bidding. So control is the issue. Now, look at yourself and find all the ways that you may be controlling to others, to situations, or even to yourself. Take your time and be honest. The more ways you are aware that you are doing this yourself, the more complete your healing will be. Now, when the issue is triggered and all the anger comes up you will recognize that it is something in you that you can heal. This is a lot more powerful than being a victim! Say, "Oh, this is my anger about control. I recognize and accept that I feel this way. Spirit (or God, Goddess, Universe, angels, etc.) heal this within me." It's that simple. It works the same way with fear and sadness.
So, two things have happened now. First, since you are now aware, you have a choice. Also, you are identifying with the greater part of you, not the angry fragment that's been in denial and is projecting itself out. You are no longer IT, you are separate from it. This gives you the power. Every time you clear in this way, the energy of the charge will dissipate more. You'll notice the troll jumps up at you less and less and when it does catch you off guard, you'll be ready. This takes practice but really, really works.
Awareness and acceptance will clear your negativity and bring you inner peace , freedom and personal power. Remember....Begin Within.
