I am sure that you are like most people and have a favourite type of food or even a favourite restaurant, where you love to eat. This gives you a wonderful way of nourishing your body. Can you say the same about your mind? Do you have a favourite author or type of book, which you use to nourish your mind? It is a really sad reality, but our society has accepted that nourishing our body with good food is essential, which is great, but we have ignored the other essential part of who we are namely our mind. We invest none or very little time into nourishing our mind with good transformational or educational material.

Until about the age of eighteen, we gladly welcome new information all the time. In fact we accept that we will be bombarded by so much new information, new skills and knowledge, which we need to assimilate, that our brains are equipped with an accelerated learning ability to help us cope with all the new knowledge and information. Our capacity to learn during this formative period of our lives is staggering. We are programmed to learn an incredible amount in a very short space of time and by golly we do.

Accelerated Learning Curve
There is no reason why we cannot continue learning for the rest of our lives. Our brains are incredible pieces of equipment, if we remain committed to learning ; they can keep acquiring knowledge, learning new skills and gathering information throughout our lives. Unfortunately learning virtually stops for most people after they get their first job. Research shows that most people never pick up a book after they leave school ever again.

Don’t Rely on Poor Experience to Learn and Grow
Of course people do learn a little from experience. This helps them to sometimes do things right and sometimes, they get them wrong. I don’t know about you but, I want to know that the knowledge or information I acquire is credible and is going to give me the best chance at success. Success most certainly leaves clues. There is almost no subject, where experts in that field have not written books , created audio books or stored their knowledge in some way, to be shared with those, who follow.

Separate yourself from the Herd
Can you imagine how you would separate yourself from the herd, if you committed to a process of lifelong learning, where you promoted your accelerated learning curve throughout your life, by feeding your mind with new information, knowledge and skills every day, for the rest of your life? Imagine the capacities you would be able to develop, the new skills you would gather and how much you would be able to learn in a lifetime. It is never too late to be one of those people, who maintain his or her accelerated learning curve throughout their lives. Develop an appetite for searching out new ideas and knowledge and make this part of your daily discipline.

Constantly Feed Your MindStrive to constantly feed your mind and educate your philosophy, by exploring the writings of great people, who have gone before you. You may be unable to meet these people in person, but you can read a book written by one of them and learn from them, even after they have moved on from this world. If you open your mind and you are willing and eager to search, there is an intellectual banquet out there just waiting for your intellectual feasting.

Enrol at your Mobile University Today
With all the audio programs available today it becomes really easy to find time to partake in the feast of knowledge, which is all around us? You can enrol at your local mobile university today, by listening to audio recordings, on virtually any subject, as you commute in your car every day. The average person spends about 500 hours commuting in their car each year. That is equivalent to two semesters at university.

Stop wasting this valuable time filling your mind with negative information, by listening to all the negative information, which is broadcast by all the commercial radio stations every day. Change your daily routine and apply the small discipline of listening to educational or transformational audio recordings, as you drive around. It is a very small and worthwhile price to pay, for the reward of on-going knowledge and growth.

Invest as much or more energy into feeding your mind, as you invest into feeding your body. Constantly search out new ways of nourishing your mind with great new ideas. This small new discipline will not only make you a living, but will be the small shift, which will help you to begin to make a fortune.
